Edit: 5CA+5Pelinal+1Kena def works with dw or s&b. Holy guacamole that's a lot of damage. I wonder how much damage you'd have to give up for 1k more regen

you can go with 2w on one or both bars, or maybe 2w + sword/board and have a place for kena, or go resto on the back bar (or 2h) and give kena up maybe

if the set was not crafted but dropped and had jewelry it would open up way more combinations, but then maybe it would be op

I'm confused... how are you able to run both alchemists and pelinal's if they're both crafted? That's why I had to go dreug on my test.

Simple. The Alchemist set 5 piece bonus comes from my staff so on Bar 2 you drink a potion for the boost and then switch to bar 1 with your dual swords, my TG build further breaking it down is here

Not wearing the Kena with those stats but as above you could factor it in if you wanted to.

If you replace weapon jewelry enchants for magicka recovery you get 1614 Magicka recovery unbuffed and 4658 SP while buffed which is still pretty nice.

Sometimes you just gotta think outside the box I guess.

5 piece pelinal on dw, weapon swap hit potion on 5 piece alchemist, swap back to 5 pel

@Zheg you run 3 body pieces of each crafted and then you have 2 weapons. It is what I do for my group build right now.

@Zheg you run 3 body pieces of each crafted and then you have 2 weapons. It is what I do for my group build right now.

Aye, I was building for a resto staff on my back bar and 1 kena, math didn't work so I applied tunnel vision and forgot people may want to build with DW/sword and board xD

@zheg well if you see @James-Wayne's build he does go for backbar resto with 4 body pieces of Alchemist+1 Resto.

But if you only have the 5 pc Pelinal on the frontbar, you wouldn't have it on the backbar and your resto heals would be much smaller, unless it sticks to your backbar.

Pelinal isn't activated on the back bar when you switch but with Alchemist it pushes your SD high so you wouldn't really need it for heals, I guess when its not activated this is where you could use it for hybrid build (not using the resto staff tho). You would need to go 1H+S for heals with Pelinal activated on switch.

Clever is only on the back bar, pelinals is only on the front bar.

The thing is, light armor has much better magicka DPS passives than medium (duh). We will likely end up in a situation where LA penetration and crit passives are better for damage than mediums 12% weapon damage. And then you get your sustain too.

Pelinals can still work, as the extra 6% weapon damage from Templar, DW, 8% dawn breaker, etc will boost your SD much higher than you would get out of an entire set. And we can try things like maelstrom flurry into vamp bane

IIRC, my sorcs julianos/wisdom/kena/torugs is around 3500 SD surge-buffed. If you can beat that without too much sacrifice (sadly, maelstrom swords have no weapon damage bonus), then it's probably worth doing

Seeing Nirnhoned now gives 11% increase to damage on the weapon do the stats show this increase to weapon/spell damage better then say the sharpened trait which now increases your Physical Penetration and Spell Penetration by flat amounts taking into account passive percentage increase of WD will be on top of the nirnhoned weapon damage where as flat increases of penetration are no longer percentage based.

Second can you enough penetration from just using CP or do you really need the sharpened trait to push it better then the nirhoned damage on the weapon?

I'm sure someone has done the calcs on it by now.
