Set matches your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage to whatever the highest of your two is....

so basically if you have 4800 Weapon damage with this set...You will have 4800 Spell Power also.

There are a bunch of interesting sets

one increases your weapon damage by 330 when flanking the Target.

    My personal favorite..cause its hilarious

    Telvar Set

Your Health/Stamina/Magicka is increased by like 600 I think it was or 900..Which is increased by 600% when you have the 4x Telvar Stone bonus

Yeah, I thought so too ROFL. With death in IC now costing 50% of your telvar no matter how it happens (player or npc). This set made me laugh hardcore. Who the hell is gonna run that?

The WD = SD set is referred to is one of the new crafted sets, and really just the one of them that this one saw any immediate for.

However as Telel discussed in their stream last night it's not an instant replacement for hunding's or Julainos in the damamge department. This is because you're not going to be able to get the same levels of spell or armor penetration with the other damage type. One would also have to sacrifise the critical chance bonuses of the more focused armors thus resulting in slightly lower DerPS there.

However if you're a stamina user who employs certain magika skills (Shades, Volcanic Rune, entropy, etc) or a Magika build that uses things like Rally, Steel Tornado, etc it has a place.

Also with so many fighter's guild skills going pure physical this may be a way for a magika build to still get some mileage out of skills like the revised trap and silver bolts.

I'll give props to the combat team, this was the first set I wanted to theorycraft with, and is one of the most interesting sets they've released thus far.

I was able to make a healer with ~4.5k wep and spell dmg in 5 medium. Super strong BoL and very viable vigor. The issue boiled down to resource management as you sacrifice everything to get your wep/spell dmg that high, and they increased the cost of all skills. Maybe a small-man healer can pull this off with honor the dead and be able to dodge roll all day at the same time.

Ran into similar issues on a storc trying to finally have a strong curse and mages wrath, though it worked better than the healer, I didn't like the low stam recovery.

I think the only one that could really pull it off is a stamblade because of siphon attacks. Could be a strong heal from funnel and run rapid regen or something on back bar. It'd have a strong capacity to stack HoTs, have 4.5k wep dmg surprise attacks and ambush, plus dawnbreaker.

Telel did have a thought that it would let a stamina user off hand a reso stave and have a reasonable heal to back their group up with.

Now even us humble hammer users can mutagen leech for l33t AP earning!

    A group support stam build.
And as @Zheg said, a small team build looking for both weapon/spell dmg.

I think Stamplars could also produce a pretty good build with this set, possible based around Thaumaturge. Using stamina for a mojority of your DPS and magic for heals, some supplemental damage, and execute.

Stam Sorcs won't see any use from this set unless they change Crystal Frags to also proc from stamina usage. Even then I don't think it would be worth what you have to give up to run the set for a little more burst from Frags, and maybe Curse.

Not gonna lie, definitely going to be trialing this set. It's just too good to pass up as an mDK with access to leap. Being able to craft it all in LA will ensure the sustain and regen I'm currently getting, and an extra 1-1.5k Spell damage will be easily justified to replace phoenix for group combat. Won't need phoenix with the mist form changes anyways.

Sooo... did a little testing with a Templar hybrid. The set is hideous, better than any set in game for hybrids mind. Way of Air a close second.

The trouble is, all skills now cost more. You're resources deplete too fast and you find yourself out of juice from both pools mid fight. Might be OK on a zergling with steel tornado and Proxy Det or a pure DK tank? I don't know, doesn't work for Templar though.

This is right, people are forgetting how much max stam or max magicka play ito DPS.

If your running this set on a Stam build with 30k Stam, 22k Health, 10k Magicka with 4k+ weapon damage even with it making your Spell Damage high it's still going to hit weak for almost all Magicka based abilities.

You could have only 1.8k Spell Damage and have 30k Magicka, and put out higher numbers then this set would allow.

Think set is total trash for PvP, but im sure some good PvE builds could come out of it.

Gotta remember the increase in Damage values, 1 point is worth 10.45 of the resource pool.

Hmmm... I'm curious how they got the wep damage that high. Granted, it wasn't fully optimal (but pretty close), on PTS I was able to hit 4.5k running the this set with 3 agility (all wep dmg enchants), 1 kena, 3 dreug - on a DW with 5 medium armor. Slotted flawless dawnbreaker and another 1 or 2 FG skills and 4.5k was my ceiling.

Was he/she running warrior mundus or something? Or was that with continuous attack buff?

I want to try the set on my Dunmer Magicka DK, although I would be testing this primarily for PvE. I already have the ability to get my fire staff's light and heavy attacks to do pretty nice damage, and if my weapon damage matched my spell damage, that could help even more. And with the increased spell cost, doing heavy attacks to restore magicka will be even more necessary.

People have asked me to explain my build with 5359 spell damage (5105 without Warrior Mundus) so see this quick breakdown I've what's involved, pretty easy to make it happen. It's not fine tuned yet but has TONS of possibilities!

It's not a glass canon build (not in PvE anyway) but is it OP?? It's pretty damn awesome playing a Templar this powerful while out of my house!

    13123055_10154947920293782_7116608654895734929_o.jpg

NOTE: Says Breton Templar as that is the stats from the right, Dark Elf was slightly lower Magicka but more stamina and not used in the end. With Molag Kena it hits around 5070 SD, so higher with Clever if you don't mind popping potions.

Champion points in above breakdown is only with the template 300 amount so higher magicka with 501 CP too.

If you had two swords with Nirnhoned you could get a extra 100 SP from the 11% buff on off hand (slightly reduced being offhand) but didn't use it in this build as there are better option for enchants for the offhand.

I'm confused... how are you able to run both alchemists and pelinal's if they're both crafted? That's why I had to go dreug on my test.
