Will the districts be a single or multiple point capture? Also is something going to be done to make death in the districts more meaningful? For example a respawn timer, or removing the home base ladders and forcing you to respawn in your factions base.

    I really hope all respawns occur at the faction home base.

    I think it would be cool if the only entrances to the city streets were the ladders out in the sewers (but I also think there should be a few more of them).

    There should definitely be a rework of the current district respawn system. The current system would only be acceptable for a TDM-type situation, and the last thing I want is this to become ESO: COD w/ swords and magic

    They will definitely have to tune the respawn options yes.

    Also hope the district capture is tied in to the overall scoring system to make both overland and the IC places that people can go to help out with the campaign.

    Right now the IC is seen as a "wasted" spot in the queue.

    I really hope i dont have to go thru 2-3 loading screens just to capture a district and then go thru the same loading screens to get back to the top.

    Looking forward into this!!! Players spread into two different pvp instances will greatly improve PvP performances. In the long term, we may even look forward to increasing the population caps again! :)

    As people said :

    1- Change the respawn system
    2- Make the districts under your faction's control gain points overtime on the scoreboard.

    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities

    Should I remind you of the group of players led by some guy who live in Egypt who used to camp the Noble's entrance ladder with 40 friends ? He's probably the main reason of the introduction of safe zones next to ladders.. lol

    With zones separated by loading screens, it will be hard to not see groups of people camping the area right on the other side of the loading screen without putting neutral zones or areas accessible only by your own faction. Resurrection sickness or timers for resurrection that increase the more you die in a short period of time could potentially be a good idea to consider.

    This is good news. But I think somehow, someway, the NPC deadric army should be included in district capture. This will keep the whole story and premise true to what it was meant to be.

    You first walk into a district, it is controlled by deadra. Right, they are sieging all of Imperial City. You kill them, capture the flag/flags (whatever it may be) and the district becomes controlled by whatever alliance you are. And this is repeated for each district.

    Now to make it interesting, I think that there should be some element or timer for each district where if the current controlling alliance moves out completely and is not in within a certain proximity of the flag (again, whatever it may be) deadra begin repopulating the district. To keep with the theme that the entire city is still under siege by these bicepsless creatures. The COVENANT vs elves and cats vs drunks, elves, and lizards vs deadra.

    So if your alliance controls District A and you are off fighting in District C, there is a timer that is triggered in District A that if you don't go back there to "keep control" eventually the district will flip back to deadra. I think this will eliminate the whole situation that plays out in Cyrodiil where the map can be painted all one color, and that alliance can simply sit around and not do anything to maintain their control. This should force those that want to control Imperial City to constantly keep moving and fighting.

    Also I would like to say that Telel is a good guy.

    Hahaha this is true, always good fun to fight the Egyptian horde in the DC base :)

    But yes, this is a much needed addition to the game that I am super excited for.

    What you're describing would RUIN the fast and fun experience of fighting in the Districts! Why do you need to bring the Cyrodiil Horse Simulator to the IC?

    Current instant respawn system negates the purpose of having capturable objectives. Players won't think and it becomes a "meat pile" strategy win everytime. At least in upper cyro you can skip a keep and hit a new target to start a new front. In IC space is too limited for the instant respawn.

    I agree, but better late than never.

    They took it out, people let their disappointment be known, and they're now going to add it. I'm excited, for the first time in a while.

    Having a single point of capture with no respawn changes would ruin the entire point of making the districts capturable. If ZOS leaves the respawns as is the districts will be exactly like they are now, except instead of fighting under one factions spawn we would be fighting over a flag. Death has to be meaningful to make district capture work. If players don't like running back from base or waiting for a respawn timer then they will need to play more tactically, and not run at their enemies one by one.

    Here is the problem with this idea of capture sewers

    Those zergs in Cyrodiil will go where the AP and Zerg the districts just like they are zerging Cyrodiil

    The zergs will go where the AP is if that in the IPC or out in Cyrodiil this whole idea of small scale combat is a pipe dream as long as zergs can enter

    Our only real chance for the small scale skirmidh pvp we all wanted was the Justice system and they canned that because role players wouldn't be able to steal without consequence

    When small group will fight zerg in IC, any death penalty will be huge penalty for small group, not zergs, so don't promote zerging.

    I'd rather see a district capture system which is time based rather than dynamic. For example: tol barad

    Every hour the match opens you queue up for it.

    Once in you spawn in your starting district you then have to fight to capture the other districts. You can only resurrected in a district you own which isn't under attack. Otherwise you have to run through sewers.

    Capture mechanics could vary. For example flags, completion of district event, mobs killed (whoever gets the killing blow) so you might have to kill 150 mobs to capture the district alliances could be competing to kill these mobs and also killing each other would count you could steal kills from other factions. (You kill the mob and pick up its token. You then have to deposit this token. If you are killed you drop all your mob tokens and the player who killed you can pick them up. (Similar mechanic to tel var)

    Once all districts are owned the dungeons unlock to your faction and the map goes back into normal mode until the next hour. Players are rewarded with participation rewards based on their factions outcome if they participated in the event.

    Sound like fun, I have some concerns and will have to see how it plays out with the faction imbalances, will most likely suck the fun right out of it for me, but I will wait and see, I just hope Cryodiil proper will not become a ghost town again after it releases like it did when IC first launched for the first few weeks, time will tell.

    Upper Cyro was a ghost town mostly because AP lost nearly all value when TV stones came with the expansion. Once everyone had all the TV they could handle, and the gear that they wanted, overland became the place to be again.

    No doubt it will take some extra people out of upper for the first few weeks, but it shouldn't be nearly as bad as when IC released.

    Hopefully they will add a limit to how many of each faction can be in the district at one time for example on 50 players from each faction can be their and they add a population bar and a pop up to show how many players in your faction are already in the district.
