Haderus - XBOX EU - Aldmeri Domination :)

So..here goes -

I'm a PvEer, as are a small group of my mates. We are starting to get into PvP (well were) started in Imp City and branching out. Started to have some fun L2P on Thornblade, but it went, so now the last week plus have been trying to all get on Haderus.

All last week Yellows have gate camped, literally we spawn we die. We are learning to play so threw ourselves against the overwhelming odds of Vet16's etc Time and time again, all we did was L2D (die) most of my mates quit. I'm stubborn so carried on, joined a few groups etc, same result. Since then have encouraged my mates back a few times this week, same result. So now most of my buddies are saying PvP "never again waste of time."

I mean we are prepared to die, we are noobs, but at least feeling like we can get somewhere, sneak a scouting mission or some PvE but no we can't even get started.

My question is for yellows (to help me understand, not being sarcastic) is camping at a gate killing noobs for weeks on end actually fun? And part 2 - is it still fun if it detrimentally impacts the longevity of PvP I.e. New people hating it and not continuing?

Quick caveat to stop the inevitable replies :-

1. L2P yep I know, we are trying
2. Join a guild. Yep we have ties to experienced guilds but logistics haven't aligned on timings last ten days
3. 'Reds did it to us' yep maybe I wasn't around when they did and this isn't a playground, and if we are roleplaying war then what good ever came of repeating other armies bad behaviour?
4. Another server. Yep tried that, Scourge normally full, tried Azuras but DC had the map and camped at our gate when we did and more of the same.

I'm up for a whooping in PvP, I'm a noob, but to get any better it would be nice to at least have half a chance of getting going.

Apologies to anyone this post offends, this is not a whimpering cry about how I'm getting beat. Good on you yellows for having a tough force and being good at the game, but my point is A) are you having fun? And B) if it's going to lose players doesn't that bother you?

Fingers crossed for some positive replies to help me understand :)

To add some positive suggestion, I think 7 day campaign maps should reset to give all forces a chance back.

My advice would be go on Scourge, head to imperial city then go in Arena district. There's loads of people there and you can practice fighting against blues and yellows.

Also if you die in there, no worries as you don't have to run 10 miles over again instead you can jump back down straight back to fighting.

New character or are u real noob CP make huge difference and end game sets also your question is like asking how dose a level 10 beat level 50 in pve the answer is you don,t nose pvpets are endgame so running high-end stuff and the battle leveling is a joke no real comparison to a vet 16

My first thought, without knowing anything about xbox pvp, is surely there has to be another server you can join. Yes I know you mentioned 2 others but on pc we have more than 3 campaigns. Either join a balanced one or join one your faction owns, if it's full then queue. It's worth noting that even balanced campaigns get painted one colour from time to time, it's just something you deal with. I can't believe there isn't a campaign you could join that would allow you further than your home gates.

Hi @jeo329 what do you mean new character? I wasn't complaining about beating Vet16's, as i said i EXPECT to die, but at least get some gameplay and into PvP more than running 50m and jumping a wall. Are you suggesting no one can PvP and do well except Vet 16's? Thus my question is how are new players ever meant to get going....

It's not just me that's dying, loads of Vet 16 reds too but unless we coordinate a huge group I think anyone will struggle to turn the tide.

Thanks @FriedEggSandwich I tried all three, but I get your point. Just need to keep trying them. Cake also distracted my mates so I guess we'll keep burning the hours till we find a server we can move on.

We are prepared to die we are noobs are your words I was asking as to whether you are new to ESO or just playing PvP for the first time and as you were saying you were throwing yourselves at v 16 I assumed you were not but still unless you got a lot of champion points a lesser vet will suffer compared to v 16 also vicous death proxy det equals win

A talking group would help also with some experienced pvpers a lesser number of player can kill more with the right tactics also what would the yellows do let you push inside a keep and then when u think your getting somewhere just wipe your group

What hours did you log on to the server? Because I'm on PC/ EU Aldmeri Dominion and I used to join pug groups at early mornings, to gatecamp DC faction.

Reason was that we wanted to pvp, and that was where we had to go to find any. We would sit and hold picnic there untill more DC players logged in, then (because they were organized and we were noob pugs) they would run us over, melt us and our noobish flowerpicking hearts Q.Q

A week of so ago yellows were busy with us taking their keeps. Alas, try blues have since given up by the looks of it. So it seems it's back to being a yellow campaign

If they're camping your gate, stealth past them and run around with your friends looking for people on their own, gang up on them.

Another good idea someone else mentioned was go to Arena District. Stealth past the gate campers, ride to one of the Imperial Sewers entrance around the water in the centre of the map enter there, you'll see a ladder leading to "Arena District" you can practice there and you spawn like 10 seconds away from the fighting.

I'd help you out if they supported cross-platforms (I'm on PS4)
