How do l tell what mofits l used and what l have not?

I can buy mofits from guild shops but l don't want to waste gold buying mofits l all ready unlocked.
Is there a way to view a list of what mofits l all ready have used?

You can check in both the achievements section or the Eidetic Memory section, if you have that. Achievements are probably the best way to go.

Look through your achievements tab. The motif lists are a bit spread out, but you can find which ones you still need to learn there.

Well while you're buying(or otherwise coming across one) if you mouseover it'll tell you (known motif) or (unknown motif). There're also addons(Awesome GuildStore) that let you specifically search only for unknown motifs(/recipes/whatever).

If you want to see a specific list, there kinda sorta is one in the Achievements tab - check the crafting section. However, some of the rare motifs from the DLCs are in DLC tabs instead, such as Malacath and Akaviri are in Orsinium DLC achievement tab.

If you're on PC you can use a couple add ons to help. AwesomeGuildStore can filter between known and unknown motifs and Research Grid shows all the traits and motifs that you have researched and learned.

Look for the cathegories DLC Achievements and Crafting Achievements in your achievement tab...

Unless i am mistaken, under the description on the motif it will say either " add to your library" or Already in your library" or something like that.

You get an achievement every time you unlock the WHOLE motif, but it lists out the chapters you need in the achievement! So if something appears white on that list you have already read it, but if it appears grayed out then you have not read it yet.




For example, the person in this picture has already read Outlaw Chests and Outlaw Belts. They still have a long way to go! (open the picture in a new browser tab to see a larger version of it)

This is the simplest way to me. No add-ons or scrolling through achievements required. Just mouse over the motif in question and this text will be at the bottom.

Haha! I got one for researching traits as well. Mines just on notebook paper though, it's not as pretty as yours.

The old school pen and paper method works if you don't have access to an addon. Making a spread sheet like above and checking things off was how I did it in this game before I used addons*.





*In the early days of the game, the updates were coming so often that keeping addons updated was a real pain, so I did not use any for the first few months the game was Live.

Craftstore does that anyway, imo its the only crafting addon you need besides potionmaker as the alchemy section is still a wip.

This is a curious thing then. I am on PC and I can assure you, the new motif pages added after IC still display the "Click to Add to Lore Library," or "Already in Library" for me. Have seen it on Merc, Ancient Orc, Malacath, Trinimac, Pact, and Outlaw.

They are still there...I'm saying that they aren't always correct.
I think the journal may be a better resource but this has been a big for a while @ZOS_GinaBruno that has remained a bug but it's a known issue

Write on paper as you buy em. Keep it in game case.
