The wonderful people that are XP Grinders in PvP

Girlfriend and I planned a night of XP grinding in Crackwood, all was going fine till some jerk showed up.

Aforementioned Jerk then verbally abused me telling me to F*** off as he wants to grind that our presence is ruining is grind and the such before threatening me, I just ignored him and carried on my grind. Few minutes pass and he says that he gave us a chance and now we are going to pay, thats when his v16 DC friends show up and kill us.

First off, what a lovely show of faction unity! Selling out your fellow AD to DC just for a bit of extra XP, well done!

Seriously why do people feel entitled to claim areas in this game, so many times i've been told to leave from people grinding and roleplaying as if Im not allowed in that area??

Do people not understand that with the XP event going on that most grind locations will be busy? Yeah it sucks that XP gets reduced and that people will want to use their stacked buff to full potential but you still get more XP than you would without the buffs.

It annoying, I always get asked by potential players how the community is and I always try and defend it but recently its really shown how toxic some people are. Especially with ZOS just giving them a slap on the wrist or 5 minutes on the naughty step.

i struggle with that some times, now with the cake, the struggle is always there.

I totally see your point. I see this all the time even without the xp bonus. Try an area where people are farming mats and check the reception.

I Grind the IC sewers. The place is a ghost town aside from a few gankers on Xbox. And everyone is usually in the Arena district fighting.

Ignore and grind on while they froth at the mouth during the long ride back. Bonus points if you can send them back to the horsie simulator a second time. Or not, probably bring more friends the second time.

I would go to a PVE zone and grind. PVP areas aren't very efficient for grinding because if you die it is a long ride on your horse to get back there.. Which kills your XP/hour

It actually might have been himself, relogging to his DC char.

Some pvp players do that, when they create chars in new factions ...they cleanse the dungeon for all undesired company, and relog to their low levels to grind.

My best advice is find another dungeon. CwC is always crowded and you will have many pvp encounters there, as people often go in there to gank grinders.

Said it many times before: The game doesn't have enough endgame PvE zones where people can just hunt monsters for XP. It's basically just the 2 Public dungeons in Wrothgar once you reach VR 14 now. Would be really nice to have more Public dungeons like those two, even larger ones with multiple entrances or levels maybe

People like that make me want to set up a gank group just outside Cracked Wood Cave. Any takers?

Someone in my guild had their AD buddy clear me out. He stood there while the AD went away and let him farm. I marked him as a bad community member in roster notes and he got booted from another guild. People are truly cheap. Im glad my guilds mostly consist of long term players that care, i for sure would not tolerate garbage players.

I don't care what you're doing, If you're in Cyrodiil, people will kill you. That's the risk of grinding there.
Guy was being a baby, but had every right to kill you.

There should be more grinding options in PVE zones(or more alternatives to grinding because grinding is stupid), but it's not like that right now.

Since I have VR16s in every alliance, I'd just go back and kill him while his friends watched, then leave.

Just to let you know the cake is reusable all week so even if you use it once you can keep buffing your XP all week and once the week ends the cake loses its buff and is just for show so I would use it before it's too late.

You know that the cake is reusable on top of that the XP part of it goes away on the 12th right?

While I am not upset that PvP happened in a PvP zone, there are a few players that act very poorly towards others. I don't usually grind in CWC but I understand how it feels to be on the receiving end of unsportmanlike conduct that breaks the spirit of the game.


Sometimes it is frustrating when someone ruins your grind, but usually a little whisper and some coordination works it out. For instance CWC has two chambers, I have split those chambers with someone else. Or if someone is just coming in for the clear achievement, I will intentionally leave the bosses up for them so they can clear quickly then they will leave and be out of my hair. A little kindness goes farther than vitriol in most cases.


However we have some types players that won't bother doing that. Besides getting cross faction friends to wipe you there is another bad mannered technique I have ran in to in the imperial city.

They will group with you, run a few rotations of the grind, then tell you they are moving to a different campaign, (which is supposedly better for grinding). They send you an invite and as soon as you port, they drop you from group knowing that they have a good 10 minutes before you can horse all the way back to the campaign they are in.

This is disgusting conduct and I wish I could call out the names of the people that do this but I will abide by the naming and shaming rules. However I do know that those people now on multiple peoples Kill on Sight lists and have tarnished their reputations even within their own faction.

Karma gets them eventually.

Hey, that's what friends are for He was just helping out his friend who needed exp!
Aside from the verbal harassment I don't see this is an issue.
