VR1 and Level 50 Items Not Compatible

You hit VR1 directly after 49. It is Level 50. But it isn't.
I commissioned a set of gear for a good bunch of gold, then used the last of my VR1-VR3 Potency Runes to make glyphs for the armor, so I would be set to do stuff tonight....
Except-... the armor is "Level 50" and the Glyphs are "VR1-VR3".
There should not be a distinction. There should not be level 50 Armor if there is no level 50. I am so tired of the VR system and cannot wait until it is gone, but what am I supposed to do right -now-...?

ForestGuard✭✭✭This is still an issue. Why am I having to commission a 2nd set of gear? I do not have the gold to just throw away at useless gear because the gearing / crafting and armor system is a gigantic steaming mess.Edited by ForestGuard on April 11, 2016 11:01AM0

✭✭It's hardly worth the effort making level 50 gear....or every level gear. Level 50 is a strange one since it's really VR1. Better to make the gear at the start of a new material level. VR 1-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-14, 15-16. More worth it on Void materials as it covers a larger span VR 9-14. I rarely mess with the enchants on lower level gear as I don't find many potency runes to use on them anyways.0 -

Do you think this reply helps with the OP's exact issue though? After all, it was posted in the "General Help" section.
My suggestion is to send in a ticket so that it can be resolved in a future patch.0 -
ForestGuard✭✭✭Well see I said it was for my new level 50 character, but then specified later I wanted it at VR1 even though I didn't at the time see a difference between the two or expect there to be one.
So there was no intent on my side to receive level 50 rather than VR1 gear.
And I can't place any blame on the crafter for thinking the two were the same since they ARE.Edited by ForestGuard on April 12, 2016 8:44AM0
