Yup.Even in Skyrim, the Thalmor are loathed outright, but loathed all the more when you learn from some documents in their embassy that the Thalmor are the pulling the strings behind the entire civil war. Supplying both sides with weapons and information, prolonging the conflict as long as possible. To top it all off, during the Great War the Thalmor captured and brainwashed Ulfric Stormcloak, driving him to start the rebellion.

And it makes it even worse when you play through the AD quest line and see the 2nd Era Thalmor as a force of good for the Queen who also puts on quite the benevolent leader act. Oh yeah the Elves are good alright, but only when the 'lesser races' remember to know their place.

the Khajiit were created to be a superior race, .

I absolutely love the Lore and how much it makes me hate the Elves. It doesn't even matter which Elf either! Wood Elf, Dark Elf, Sea Elf, and High Elf especially.
There are those few NPCs that seem genuinely decent, but the majority of the Elves are amazingly hate-able. Pompous, arrogant, self-righteous, superiority complex obsessed, even blasphemous considering they claim themselves closest to being Gods.
There's one particular instance I loathe. A quest in Stonefalls that deals with a Slave owner couple and their plantation. No spoilers but I got absolutely fed up with how amazingly infuriating the Wife was over how she viewed the Khajiiti slaves. I had Attack Innocents turned off, but still.
I torched her anyway.
I really wish the game provided an option to finish the quest by detaining or even killing the owners and freeing the Khajiit.

Things I learned from this thread:
The perfect counters to elven racism are--
1. Setting them on fire.
2. Permanently disfiguring them.
3. Murder.
4. Hating their entire race (racism).
...It's a shame that elves can't be as good, humble and peaceable as this lot.
Lol

Actually, Queen Ayrenn IS the benevolent leader, it isn't an ACT... hence the reason the Veiled Heritance is against her... they're full of the Altmer that you are complaining about. She even goes through the Ayleid machine which PROVED that she is exactly as she claims, a leader trying to bring peace and equality between ALL races.
Yet, you see when you play other Alliance quests that there are leaders, most likely Thalmor, within Ayrenn's ranks that are intentionally devising plans that go against exactly what Ayrenn represents. It's no wonder that other Alliance players hate the AD... because the game developers intentionally made the other Alliances out to be monsters... yet when you play for that particular alliance, you get a very different feeling about them. I think that was the point of Meridia giving you Cadwell's Silver and Gold, so you could see for yourself through the eyes of your enemies what the truth actually is. And having been AD my entire ESO 'career', playing through the other Alliance quests showed that not all 'trusted leaders' are actually working for the benefit of their respective King or Queen. I know that any quest that involved the AD in Silver and Gold were not actions that would ever be sanctioned by Queen Ayrenn... and it's interesting how even some of the "enemy" AD NPCs make random complaints or openly disagree with their 'orders'.

True. I remember what AD tried to do in EP. Commiting a genocide towards the innocent argonians =(. So glad that khajiit decerted and helped me take down those war criminals (I hope Arreyn wasn't be too hard on her, she only did what was right)
They were trying to establish a new life in a new land and the elves couldn't abide that so they killed everyone. Ysgramor responded by rallying a handful of warriors and wiped their race from the land....pretty badass imo.KoshkaMurka wrote: »Well, nords for example wiped an entire race because of conflict, including those who were innocent.

But your post is a very good illustration how being cruel and bloodthristy conqueror turns out to be a good thing if you like the character.
The reason for the Night of Tears has been lost to time,
