There's 3 individuals (not going to name obviously) on PS4 that have listed a combined total of 1,000+ Dreugh Wax and other legendary upgrade materials in two guild traders. Are they buying out all cheap Dreugh Wax throughout Tamriel and relisting as higher? Is this allowed?

@Kammakazi lemme give you a little advice.... if you need a partner in crime, all you need to do is ask.

Seriously though, farm drew wax, under cut the prices of the players your talking about, they keep buying your drew wax to try and sell their own... profit?

Sure it is allowed as long as they aren't using any kind of bot to do it for them. Why wouldn't it be allowed? Free market.

If they can sell it, why not.
But floating a market with one type of goods is never a good idea.

this is a free market with no regulations or any true consequences if said market is skewed... so why not. i haven't played the market in eso but in other games i often controlled parts of it for my gain. some do this for profit some as a form of market pvp.

Right now, demand for wax is very high, supplies are always low, and therefore the prices are through the roof.

There is a move to light/medium armor with the new meta. Tempering Alloy prices have held steady, and have actually dropped some very recently.

Consolidating all of their sales onto 1 or 2 trade guilds isn't the smartest business practice. Spread them out between 4-5 traders in all of the hot trade zones for each faction.

But what would I know? ;)

As you can see, no one cares because it's an open market with no rules. If there's no rule against it, then it's not wrong, even if it's malevolent in the end. I personally do care, because this is a game first and foremost, and people who ruin other people's gameplay are labeled one thing.

Not doubting your math, but 3 traders, 2 guilds, 30 sell slots on each guild = 180 items for sale.

Well I only get 30 slots on each guild, or did I miss something, is there a way to get more slots?

On the surface there isn't anything wrong with playing the market. However under the waves many of the players who do it are PC copies (I refuse to call them transfers) and that's were my issue comes in. When you introduce players who came in with massive amounts of gold and other resources, they have a near insurmountable lead over other players.

Tbh on PC this happened several times to for example the Sun-Set when every DK was wearing it or when Kuta prices were all of a sudden at like 10k each...
I understand it though. People want a quick sell so they always gonna try to be cheaper than the cheapest. Prices drop. If you dont raise them again your profits' gone. Happens every day in real life. :D

Remember back on Console launch when ZOS offered PC character transfers, and they copied w/e you had on your toon over, gold and all? Remember how some transfers had all their buddies load up their toons with as much gold, ect as possible for the transfer copy (then returning the gold ect, of course)?

    Yeah, how you liking that?

Or they could just be like me and have a vast supply of waxes left from pig farming, still got around 300 waxes left. All for personal use though. I'd never sell it but tons of people on XB still sell thiers in batches.

I personally don't see a problem. Trying to attract buyers by offering items in bulk is a legitimate business practice. Even if it is from buying and reselling tempers. But their items are far from the only legitimate ones on the market.

In the end it is only 2 to 3 traders. If people want legendary upgrade mats for cheaper or from a different guild then they can always look at the other 100+ kiosks available. Or, if they want convenience, the other 20 or so kiosks considered to be in 'prime' locations.

What kind of action you expect? Ban them for knowing how free-market economy works?
Introduce price regulations? Add daily purchase limits?

Remember, all values are just what you (or certain amount of people) agree something is worth. There is no universal value of anything. Water in a middle of desert is much more valuable than nearly anything.

You know, if you really want dreughwax, you can farm raw cloth or buy it cheap and refine it out yourself, or have someone else do it. I don't know I should be saying that because I am one trying to sell it. lol. Yeah I am the one grumbling when people are selling it too low, because i have been doing a lot of that buying of the mats because farming takes forever and can only stand to do so much of it, and I and trying to make a lot of gold. What you want to pay and what something is going for is two different things. If you want your price, take the initiative like those traders do and go store to store all over the place and buy that cheap dreugh wax before they can, otherwise really have no right to complain. Early bird gets the worm.

It kind of has. For Ore was selling like crazy last couple of months, the last two weeks I can hardly sell it. What do I do? Save it for later and go find out what is selling well and sell that instead for a while.

If you want Wax on the cheap then just go to a low level creature farming area. I was picking up ~180 raw hides every half hour in the Dreugh place in EP.

Actually this is a good thing to do.It will stop those 3 from making a huge profit.Their sales will stagnate.
Plus,it will bring the prices for that particular item right back down.People will most certainly buy your cheaper item, rather than pay their exorbitant prices.
