I finally beat that god forsaken final boss after about 300 attempts. That may have been the most frustrating thing I've ever done in my life, but damn it feels good when you finally kill that ***. Got Inferno staff too but charged

This place favors ranged magic builds, no denying it. This is especially true when learning. That being said, the damage potential on stam is nuts right now. For those pushing scores, Stamina becomes appealing. I believe the highest non-cheat engine score on a Templar was stamina before they wiped the boards. Stam DK>Magic DK in there at least from my experience. Not sure that logic holds for NBs and Sorcs because funnel and overload are just to darn good in here.

Moral of the story, stam is very viable in here since DB, especially with current gear like vicious ophidian. Things die insanely fast.

Finally broke down and went into this place. I cleared Normal with no deaths (not an accomplishment, I know) and made it to Round 4 in Vet without a death before I had to log for the night. Now with the new DLC I'll be away from the place for a while but will return eventually.

Finished on a Magicka Sorcerer as my first clear 2 months ago. Then decided to take my Magicka Nightblade in there too a couple of weeks ago and finished it on that toon too. My Magicka Templar finished it for the first time last Friday.
Starting to think I should take my Stamina Sorcerer and Stamina Nightblade in there too, but first Flawless on my main and Maelstrom weapons for every toon I have.
Keep coming 1 death short to get Flawless Conqueror on my sorc though. Every time I have to die on Stage 5, 6 or 7.
I'm doing it pretty much every day now, but only on the sorc or nightblade, just to get those bloody weapons. a run takes around 1 to 1 and a half hours.

I could write a bestseller about my first clear, I remember every damn second of it. Somewhere around 30 hours total for the whole thing. Final boss took me at least 2/3rds of that time. Only to get an Arcane Para Bellum ring.

As soon as SotH drops on Xbox, I'll spend my whole life in that arena until I get my weapons.

My ping is fine yet IM LAGGING! Nearly beat the boss 15 times today, yet i instantly die out of the blue, i die before my health registers 0, even with shields up. No chance to heal. And of course the gold ghost constantly spawns right behind the boss, while i try to use spectral explosion i end up dying while channelling, even one time i still died from a hit after it went off. So many bar swap fails. Ive never yelled so many times, "wtf?? Thats BS!"

I gave up VMA on stage 6 when I tried it a few months ago with my DPS mag-sorc at high 200-ish CP in 5/1/1 purple gear.
Then I played some other things like Orsinium and festivals. Now I'm at 340 CP in gold gear, so I'm going to try it again soon, probably after getting some more gear to test. The arena is really hard but is possible.

Yeah.. one of the reasons I haven't ran vMA in over 5 months. You go through all that crap and then get crap. Kudos for those determined folks that keep on going through it 100 of times over until they get the drop they want.
