Recent Reality Check on this game...

I've played quite a few mmos out there too, and the biggest thing that attracts me to this game is they have done a much better job creating a fun game that isn't pay to win. Picture it, Maelstrom Weapons for 2000 crowns, consumables that are required to even be competitive but can only be purchased for real money. That exists in other games, games with substantially worse balance, lag, combat, and graphics. Go check out 95% of mmos before you try to make statements like this game will die soon if ______ doesn't happen by ____. Yes the game has issues, and it isn't impossible (likely, even) that many issues aren't handled perfectly, but the scale of these problems seem so minor in comparison to other games. Being passionate about a problem in the game is understandable, but the level of toxicity in so many of these posts screaming for change causes me little surprise when they are met with little constructive response. Whether or not this game is the best of the genre is completely opinion based, but it's so many miles better than the vast majority of its competitors.

I have been trying to tell people this for some time now, no online game is perfect ( been playing 15 plus years) ESO is beautiful, no cartoonish crap , its just great, if they ever improve the lag and keep the DLC coming it will stay number 1 for some time to come.

I always sing the praises of SWG prior to NGE but of course I ignore some of the most brutal spawn camping? spawn killing? Idk even how to describe the laughable spawn system that spawned you across from your enemy making those respawn centers just body dumps the first month. In the course of 30 minutes if enough people were around you could watch your gear turn to dust. I really dont have anything to compare it too, it was hilarious, it was frustrating, and of course it isnt the part I talk about first with SWG.

This is true. SWG I truly loved but yet I cannot stomach the EMU. A lot of that has to do with the graphics being outdated, all work starting over, and the friends I will never see again.
