Emperor Help

ronin_blades
Hey, I want to obtain emperor at least once (mainly for the ps4 trophy), but I cant seem to find a good way to gain AP that doesnt instantly get out done.
I seen someone get a 125k AP tick (I have a screen shot, but naturally they keeping there cards close to there chests), I dont really now how to get AP a good and steady way.
I know killing enemys gives points and is most likely the best way, but in slow periods, coming across an enemy might be rare. I have run around for half an hour at times and not come across one other person... So any tips that arent the basic "heal and kill people" would greatly be apperated.

run into group with proxy det, tag all enemies, run off and don't die, stay close while the zerg behind you kills the group you tagged

get a good PVP guild to give you the AP ticks from defending keeps

farm offensive and defensive ticks at resources

be awesome at 1v1 and never die

Thats more or less the basic stuff, but I'd just love to how how people get like 60k+ tics...I sware I blink and the leaders move up 40k+ in a matter of minutes it seems at times...

I play a sorc, what kinda skill-set should I use to tag enemys and run away? I assume the AoE lighting skill is one of them.

After fairly regularly playing PvP since last July, I've barely seen an emperor (once that I know of and once that I can vaguely recall).

I'm pretty sure there's something fishy going on

It is as Morozov said, be with good people you can count on and make smart decisions. Sometime being in the right place at the right time can net you a TON of AP.

Depends on campaign but usually you have to play most of the day every day, always be where the action is and use rapid ap-gen.. I mean rapid regen. The stam equivalent would be caltrops I guess, or steel tornado.

It's really dependent on how good you are and if you're playing with other people. Since it sounds like you aren't playing with an organized group (the best way to get AP), here are a couple suggestions.

If you're a skilled player: You and a friend flip an enemy resource at a high-traffic keep. Camp the resource until enemies show up to take it back. Kill them. Remain on the resource until you get the defensive AP tick. Repeat. If enemies aren't showing up, flag the keep to *** them off and they will come try to kill you. Retreat to the resource and kill them there. Wait for the defensive tick. This tactic gives good AP if you can get the enemy mad enough to keep coming back. The NPCs on the resource will help you kill enemies but won't take any AP away from you. Any AP gained from killing enemies on the resource will go into the defensive tick.

If the first option is too difficult: Buy and use a wild amount of repair kits. Then equip a restoration staff and follow a zerg, using healing abilities on them for AP. If the zerg leaves a keep before the offensive/defensive tick, you stay there and get the tick then catch up with them.

Note: Without an organized group, you're sort of at the mercy of your alliance when it comes to flipping the emp keeps. It would make the process a lot smoother and more predictable if you bring in friends/a guild to help with this part.

I'm really against achievement hunting when it comes to emp , that & emp swapping.

But by the things you said I can tell you miss a lot of ticks that you don't know about yet. There's a lot of people like you still, especially on console, just the other day I got a 24k tick by myself.

There are numerous 'dirty' tactics that many have used to get emp for the achievement back in the days when it gave you a permanent buff to your stats once you lost it. I won't list them because some are still working and the last thing I want is to contribute to their continued use. But these tactics, along with having a lot of empty cyro servers back in the day are where so many people got their emp.

A buddy of mine entered Cyrodiil recently after getting an invite to join a group of friends. They were on a farm, and as soon as he got there, received a 500K+ AP tick. There is legit screenshot evidence. I also knew the group involved. It did happen and I cannot fathom how it was pulled off....

With tactics like this in use, I recommend gathering a group and scrambling to a low-population server as your best bet. This type of behavior does not happen on low-population servers.

@Stratforge I promise you I have the screenshot. For the sake of the 23 people within the picture, I'm not sure I should post it though..... and no I was not lucky enough to be a part of this group at the time of this AP tick.

i think all my friends who have given pvp some dedication have gained emperorship with multiple chars. I think it's easy if you dedicate yourself to earning AP ..... personally I would love to have the ruby red dye, but then my fun in pvp would also be ruined. I like pvp in very small doses.

Specially considering the lag, the amount of exploits being used, double or triple CC, CC immunity not working etc. I would go nuts if I had to put up with that on a daily base :p

I believe its possible I have a screen shot of someone getting a 125k tick...so a 500k tick I am sure is extremely hard put inside the realm of possbility.

@failkiwib16_ESO: I am sure dedication is a big part of it and time to do it, but my issue is the down-time i always seem to run into where no action is happening what to do to get some AP, or when I zone into a map finding a group to join.

So, in 3 days time...someone on the PS4 servers has 1,592,651 AP points

Can someone tell me what kinda trick that guy is useing when he has 2x as much as any other person playing the game... all the other leaderboard people are about at 700k

They should make a server that only non-emperors (those who never had emperor title) can join...problem solved...and everyone gets a fair chance without the constant emperors takeing it all.

Emperorship should be limited. No one character should be able to unlimitedly get Emp. Only those toons that
run day and night can usually get millions of points. Especially in Haderus - its only a 7 day run and still the points are in the millions.

Zenimax needs to cap the amount of times a person can be Emp so the rest of the playing community has a chance.

Otherwise, if you have a life, school, work, family, etc., you don't have a real chance at it and that is just unfair to all of the
    players.

That's not even hard to do if you get emp. I've had 800k days with only 14hrs of playtime (without seriously farming) because blowing up massive amount of pugs is the easiest way in the game to get ap. That coupled with A LOT of play time can create massive amounts of ap in a short timespan, MUCH more than 1.5 mil in three days.

To those who complain about not getting emp, you don't deserve emp. If you can't compete the guy on top, your not going to be a good emperor. I'm not sure why people think mutagen spamming is good ap either.

If everyone had a chance at emp, the worst emperors you have seen would be considered one of the best.

Running in a 24 man is horrible going for emp. I got 5.4 Million AP at the 16 day mark in Azuras campaign out competing everyone. I get so many accusations that 4 people play on my account because I earned so much AP. I got all of that AP by being a solo emperor lol.

honestly, solo emp is hella hard to get. Set yourself a reasonable goal first. Be top 100 in AP at campaign end. Then once you can do that regularly, strive for top 2%, then top 10. If you can remain within striking distance, then get a group of friends to help you do a push. You just need to remain in the running.

Why - just because someone has had it before - should they be excluded from experiencing it again?

What about those who were crowned Emperor and lost it within 5 minutes, 1 hour or didn't even get to play at all? What about an Emporer who played for a day but another who played for a week, is it fair that one had more time than the other?

What you're suggesting is arguably more unfair than what's currently happening. It would physically restrict players from experiencing something that they may want to experience again, whereas currently it's your own personal restrictions which are restricting you. Why should they experience less than what they want to just because of your issues?
