What's the Point in TV Stones Now?

So I gathered several Rejera and v16 mats and v16 glyphs last night... Made me Wonder...

WTF is the point in TV stones now? I can't buy jewelry sets with it. The three armors are not BiS nor valuable.

But seriously no need for any enchantment pieces (as gathering is far better now), no need for mats, no jewelry and bad armor.

Wtf am I suppose to do with all these stones?

They are little gifts for the Gankers. Carry a few hundred around as presents. It will make them feel better about themselves. That way they will not complain about PVP.

There are three costumes, but they look identical and look manly on girl characters. I hope they make it possible to buy Hakeijos with tel var stones someday. Only way to get them is from trove scamps in IC.

Aside from the polymorphs, there's zero point to TV stones except if you're after those sets. None of the IC sets are particularly great. The only sets you could consider desirable are Shield Breaker or Phoenix, and even then there are better sets out there. The *ONLY* way I'd even consider those sets is if they had jewelry/weapons added to them. If they did, the utility of a lot of those sets WOULD be quite good.

Powerful Assault would instantly become an in-demand set, and a lot of other sets would gain a lot of utility. But as it is, I can't find any reason to even visit IC unless you're after the vaults. And since the end game still pretty much forces you into Agility or Willpower builds... getting TV is sort of just an added bonus.

ZOS could also up the value of the stones by adding in resource kits to the general vendor. Perhaps like 4-5K, and they have a chance to drop multiple crafting resources, potentially even some gold upgrade mats. Some incentive to actually get people to want to go to IC.

Make it where we can buy keys with the stones.

As is, I see no reason for TV stones. Maybe some fun items, but for me I see nothing for them.

I ran into the same problem a few weeks ago. Sitting with 30K+ TV Stone and couldn't come up with anything worth spending them on. Farming in Wrothgar and Hew's Bane provided me with enough mats and enchament runes that seens to be a waste to buy more of those.

yes this would be awesome but would have to be very high cost so to not cut value down. think in total I have found 3 of these for my gear T.T

Ya know, at this point I don't see why there is not a built in currency exchange. Having to buy and flip gear to turn TV or AP to gold is just lame.

I picked up about 200 raw last night going through Wrothgar... They were everywhere! I couldn't stop picking them.

Ok so we all agree, TV stones are as close to useless as possible in this game @ZoS_GinaBruno you guys do realize TV stones are a waste right? And all because you guys purposely realeased everything to kill them.

I would agree with you but last time I checked guild store prices were still high for rubedite and ancestor silk. This was a few weeks back though, haven't checked since TG.

If i could i prob would (and didn't get auto banned). I get roughly 6k an hour now.

I realized this after I died and lost some stones, and then surprisingly found those that killed me and got my stones back. I realized that there isn't a need for them. In fact the amount of time to go from 0 stones to 400 to get 1 rejera takes longer than to farm one out in the world.

Only a goose would buy the runes for gold (excluding non dlc owners) I picked up 17 reporas among others and over 200 silk and rubedite.

Some kind of chest that takes keys purchased with TV stones is a great idea. 1 key = 5k or 10k stones

yup.

TV stones were always just something that gankers could take away from a carebear to elicit tears.

they never really served any other purpose, to me.

If your thing is roaming around picking up nodes there is no reason to collect TV Stones. I don't enjoy roaming around picking nodes. It's more fun for me to slaughter mobs and kill players once in awhile.

Murp, at what... 5 npcs per one mat at the best rate? While you get x3 or x8 in wild, plus tempers etc? I don't see the value, I do enjoy the small scale pvp in IC tho.

Maybe the intent was to demotivate gankers in the IC? I wouldn't be surprised if TV stones disappear entirely from the game eventually.

I'm really surprised at some of these comments. Don't any of you guys ever need 100's of Ancestor Silk for VR16 light armor? Have you seen how expensive it is? While it's possible now to farm Rubedo leather in a hurry in Wrothgar, the other mats are still acquired fastest by farming TV stones.

Maybe not everyone is as hungry for mats as I am, but I tear down and rebuild my gear all the time. Send me your TV stones if you don't want 'em!
