Wow I don't remember orsinium patch being 10gb.... hope the other PS4 players out there set their system to update while on low power mode. Yikes

    It's up like 2h earlier as well.

    haha I havnt experienced the lag or anything bad though I was only in alkir testing the dmg numbers and whatnot just to see the difference. and man now I see why jabs is so good it heals decant and fast haha

    I'm downloading right now too. I have heard that for whatever the reason some people only downloaded part of the patch and had to restart to get the rest. Maybe it's something about that.

    ohh could be heard of people only downloading part of the patch and having the ui being half missing and the map saying unknown location etc. so could be a bug in the download maybe

    I'm being trolled by the download, there's 100mb left and it's slowed down from 50mb/s to 1 every 3/s ....

    It's probably such a big update because Zeni added another explorable area into the game on top of the Base Game Patch.

    Typically, updates like this are rather large. Even if you haven't yet purchased the DLC and are only wanting the Base Game Patch, your system is still downloading everything for the DLC as well. This way; if you do decide to purchase the DLC in the future, that 2500 Crowns buys that last little bit of code to unlock the DLC and allows it to play on your system.

    This way you're not purchasing the DLC late and then waiting on an 8-10gb DLC download. It's just already there, just waiting to be unlocked.

    So you're downloading the DLC, Base Game Patch, all of the Crafting and system updates/changes, etc. These all tend to swell the size of the download.

    While that makes things a bit inconvenient for the first couple of days of the DLC being released (as everyone is rushing to download it), it makes things much smoother a bit down the road.
