Where art thou Storm Atronachs?

I am looking for these big stormy beast so I can farm the "crackling loadstone."

I am leveled past the area in Reaper's March (I'm an AD character). I have been hitting up the 3 in western Craglorn.

Can you please point me to another group? Thank you!

Try Rubble Butte delve in Bangkorai, they have a few. Should be easier than the Craglorn ones too.

The Monster Item should still drop from those Storm Atronachs.

Otherwise, these are not the easiest things to find outside of Dolmens and that one Bangkori Delve mentioned.

They were supposed to have fixed this so that you still get the drops even if you are over leveled. It's why you can get leather mats from animals you are over-leveled for. Maybe the Atro's did not get the memo, but they should have.

Since you won't get any other drops, then it stands to reason most you kill will give you nothing. But the reward achievement item should still drop.

However it is still better to grind on Vet ranked Atros, then you at least get some exp towards a champ point.

@Nestor Sorry, but I don't recall anything in the patch notes about collectibles since they were made character bound. Are you saying that a recent patch removed the 5 level requirement? That is, you no longer must be +/- 5 levels of the monster to get a drop.

Veterans can get loot from lvl 45 to v16 enemies. Personally I would recomend Spellscar in Craglorn for that achievement. Rapid Maneuvre may be of use here though, there is a bit distance between the atronachs.

Like I say, I thought they had, as the collectibles now drop with the leathers, and not just the loot. Maybe it was changed again, but people are farming the mudcrabs on the west coast of Grahtwood for something other than hides as there are easier ways to get hides in the game

@Nestor some people don't know better places, or are able to farm in better locations for hide I've met a bunch of players who farmed mudcrabs for hide >.<
