What is it??!! Cloud Ruler Temple

'Cloud Ruler Temple' is the discovered location when you get close, but there is no map symbol for it. It is just North West of Bruma and West of Fort Dragonclaw in central North Cyrodiil

Description: It almost looks like a dolmen, but has pieces of broken rocks falling out of the sky around it, and rather than coming to a point as it touches the ground (where it usually connects to the pedestal in the middle of the dolmen), it instead connects to the outer edges of what appears to be an elevated building or some sort of stone structure. The base of the stone structure is covered in jagged rocks akin to those found in Coldharbor.

Part of a future DLC maybe? This one is intrigued

Cloud Ruler Temple was a key location in Skyrim (the game). It is probably just in here as a ruin because people would have asked why it wasn't on the map if it wasn't on the map in the place they expected it to be.

There are lots of places like this ingame. Boarded off entrances to places, off mapping you see ALOT of old towns and copied areas with different textures. And should you fall through the world you will see entire other areas that just arn't in the game yet. (some maps) There is alot of work going on. ALOT. And for this I am grateful.

he's not referring to this Temple but the one on cyrodiil which is in fact this

Cloud Ruler Temple at this point in time would be the HQ of the Dragonguard so I guess it makes sense that Molag Bal would target it. A shame that nothing has ever been done with it, but I suppose the chances are slim that any of these base game locations will get any love now with the shift to self-contained and easily monetized DLC.

Since we just celebrated the 10th anniversary of TES IV: Oblivion, the OP should know that Cloud Ruler Temple was an important location in that game. A few hundred years after the events of ESO it became the base of the Blades, a new group based on the old Dragonguard, the elite bodyguards of the Emperor. Almost a thousand years later, during the Oblivion Crisis caused by Mehrunes Dagon and the Mythic Dawn cult, which are covered in the aforementioned game, it becomes the central base of operations for the surviving Blades in their attempt to thwart a Daedric invasion.

It's Sky Haven Temple in Skyrim. Cloud Ruler Temple is in Oblivion.

@tinythinker: Nitpick - it's only ~800 years to Oblivion. The 1000 mark is for Skyrim.

And I seem to recall the devs mentioning a while back that there was an issue with having all the notable locations in Cyrodiil marked because they couldn't put that many icons on the map. Add to that you can't actually explore it--it's not a dungeon or anything--and I don't really blame them for not marking Cloud Ruler. Those of us who played Oblivion already know to look for it anyway.
