The majority of the playerbase don't really read the forums. People come here when they have questions, or they are unsatisfied with the product they payed for, due to lag, bugs, crashes, exploits etc.
Oh welcome to forums thenI'm here and I dont have questions, nor am I unsatisfied for any reason.I come here for the community. To interact with others who share my obsession. XD

Its not like the Oblivion or even Skyrim forums were swimming with praise either though.

No,but this is a bit different. It's the first Elder Scrolls game that has gone online, and it is really been harsh.Armchair critics just rank away without a care, like it's the words game in history or something.

Ahh, then you missed many fun and amusing posts all over the interweb regarding Oblivion and Skyrim. I remember such classics as someone accusing Bethesda of "selling out" and "destroying the series" because Patrick Stewart voiced the emperor. And the death threats over how buggy Skyrim was. Truly remarkable.
I think in this day and age, you have to have thick skin to work in the gaming industry. Its a dog-eat-dog world out there, and disgruntled gamers will eat you alive.

Yeah,I know.I just feel so bad for them.It makes me feel bad period.I love ESO,and I love the other games (except Oblivion) and I keep trying to defend it.But people just dont want to see anything good. They call people like me "fanboys",but,hell,..I'm not even a boy, though I am a fan.
And people here love to just take you down if you stand up for ESO. XD

Oh, I feel ya. Growing up, I saw myself being a game designer and thought it would the greatest, easiest job in the world. Everyone would love my games, and I'd win tons of awards and accolades. People would stop and ask me for my autograph and a picture. Like a rock star.
I was so young and naive
Of course, today my career path took a drastically different turn. But I do feel sympathetic to those who allow their body of work to be judged, poked, and prodded by the general public. Like I said, you need thick skin to handle the pressures.
