Goblin costume can cause crashes (renamed)

Ever since the Thieves' Guild update a friend of mine crashes other players by travelling to them. It happened twice today and has happened on several other occassions. We were doing the pledge earlier, he travelled to me and *boop* the two dpses and myself crash immediately as he enters the loading screen after clicking "travel to player".

It seems to only occur when he travels to someone from outside a dungeon and into the dungeon, or when he travels from a dungeon into a city (like Stormhaven).

We tried to recreate the bug and made it happen first attempt:

It's only one toon he has that does it and I don't know if it's actually true, but we were joking around saying it was the Goblin costume he always wears that is to blame.

I've got to say the Thieves' Guild update sure did add a whole new variety of interesting bugs and exploits..

EDIT 1:

Turns out from zone to zone travelling to a player also makes someone crash.

EDIT 2:

Can confirm, wearing the Goblin costume and travelling to players causes crashes. I managed to crash 6 people at the same time by travelling to them while we were in a trial group.

I renamed the thread because of this. Hopefully it is fixed soon.

Sounds like your friend has the best ultimate in the game lol

Hah, ye. We'll be trying it out with a raid size group today. Just imagine one person having the ability to crash 11 people at once..

Had the same problem with someone in my PvP group last night, happened almost every time he used a door that zones you into something, like the Imperial City. He was also a fan of the goblin costume. Coincidence?? I think NOT!

Can confirm, Goblin costume is mega broken. I put it on and crashed 6 players at the same time.

I have 1 particular character who is always crashing, makes it hard to get stuff I need from her bag.

She does not have the goblin costume on or even on her person.

By the time PS and Xbox players get TG it'll be in a lot better shape I'm sure. We PC players sure do love beta testing the updates for the consoles :)

I would like to add that the skeleton costume does it too. Was happening to our group in trials this past weekend.

The one from the Shadowfen quest?

If so, then it's basically both of the quest costumes of Ebonheart Pact zones that are bugged. What a very peculiar bug.

Yeah that's the one. Pretty much the whole raid would crash when he would port in (every time) and we all joked about it being his costume and then today I see your post....so yeah I would say it's bugged too.

Those are popular costumes. If they get taken out, I hope that they are replaced by some non-buggy equivalent.

Well this could explain why I crash more when I am in online mode, than in offline mode, when I play this game. It hurst my mind to think of what it takes to code something this derpy, that people crash because of cosmetic features. >.<

I doubt they would have to take them out, considering how they worked perfectly fine up until TG was released.

Yeah it's seriously weird. This, along with a ton of other things, are just great examples of why companies shouldn't be afraid to halt the release of DLCs. I mean they are hurting their own reputation by breaking the game like this.

In a way it sort of reminds me of Battlefield 4's release, where the game didn't work properly for the first half year or more.

My problem with this game is, that hey sometimes make huge changes at once, so they have no clue over what is going on and where the bugs start and end.

They are extremely slow at fixing problems, and with every new content we get a long list of extremely convenient bugs and exploits.
