So ZOS Destroys Trueflame

They make a no-cp server that no one is on (shows the cp whiners were full of it and ZOS should stop listening to them), and everyone moves to Trueflame which is now completely destroyed with lag. ZOS please revert game to first month of release version, before you demolished your game with lagfest mania. I miss the real pvp where hundreds could fight lagfree. PVP here is now just a joke.

    Well it is said aoe caps is the main cause of the lag, another is the anti bot code they put in a while back. (which by the way I rather have then not having it because oh my gosh bots are so much worse then lag)
    Kill the reason why people zerg then you would have much better performance.

    Actually, Azuras is plenty populated. The top players on the leaderboard have over a mil AP. AD just has a very strong presence on that server and (I speculate) a vested interest in making it appear that "no one wants a no-cp server" because AD has tons of guilds with max CP.

    The real reason more people don't play on Azuras is that CP is easymode and a crutch. People don't want to have to learn to manage their resources again or regear for some actual sustain.

    It would be great to see players "be the bigger man" and subject themselves to running in say...a few 10-12 man groups that spread out and take different objectives instead of stacking 24 man raids in one place...but let's not fault players for playing in the most effective way possible. Someone made it that way.

    Indeed, while I understand the point of view that people should "just not zerg", the reality is all the rules favor ball groups. When they went on ESO and announced AoE caps were remaining in place they were, once again favoring these groups. In the end as long as they keep favoring zergs so much you'll see little small scale pvp. I mean what benefit is there? So as long as you favor large scale pvp you need to be able to handle the stress. Either by scaling down the campaign cap again or fixing whatever coding issues seem to be causing it. I fully expect there to be some lag, there usually is in large scale pvp, but it's pretty bad on ESO. Hopefully they'll find the issue sooner than later although I admit at this point banking on it would be naive to the point of foolishness.

    The no cp server sounded good on paper. What they didn't calculate is how many would be on the no cp server and made spares to go too.

    I wouldn't say the cp "whiners" are full of it, the server is just not fun. What we need from a non cp server is to have the game be reverted mostly back to its state before cps even came to exist. You know back when you didn't run out of resources nearly instantly. The meta on that server is just way different and requires different builds and mind sets and people probably just don't want to switch builds around for 1 server. The game right now kinda just doesn't work right without cp. On top of that azura is very ad dominated and pretty un fun if you are dc and ep. It just doesn't feel very well implemented to be honest and most people are probably pretty close to cp cap and don't have to deal with being hilariously out classed by pure stat advantage.

    I think if instead of making a no cp server they made a equalized server where gear is irrelevant and everyone gets the same stats it would be a lot better and easier to get into. Then instead of having a different set of gear for the server you could keep your same gear and possibly the same skills and just get right into it. There would be no excuses for getting owned on that server because anything your opponent is doing you could do too(assuming your the same class). Maybe an equalized server would be more popular and help reduce the lag, I know I would play it if there wasn't horrible faction balance.

    the problem with the no CP campaign is that you have to re gear specifically for it.

    PvP was (as false as it may be) designed that you could take your PvE build into PvP. a no CP campaign goes against that concept.

    I'm sure if the entire game was a no CP game and there was 1 campaign that had a CP system you would see everyone in the no CP servers.

    Ruined Trueflame? Come on, let's be honest, It was an AD amusement park. I mean, that map was solid yellow all night. I guess that's fun if you're AD and want to artificially inflate your ego. It's not really PvP if you're not fighting anyone.

    If all the players who wanted the option for non-cp campaign actually went and played together In the non-cp campaign, it wouldn't be that empty, and it would even attract other players there, because of the activity alone.

    Personally I prefer to play in CP campaigns, because I consider champion points as progression in the game, and I like progression. I like being stronger than a new player who enters Cyrodiil at level 10.

    That being said, I wouldn't mind playing with a new player who enters Cyrodiil at level 10 in my group either, i consider his curiousity and willingness to enter pvp at such a low level as progression in the game.

    lol...there were great fights on trueflame, but now there are zergs everywhere and it's laggy as hell. It's like the old azura. If running around in groups of 50+ and spamming snares/immobilizes while hiding behind sieges is pvp for you, it's your server/gameplay atm...

    The changes to rapid and the fact, that there is no cooldwon on soft-CCs makes it nearly impossible to move on the battlefield. It's normally only walking in, drop AoE and hold your ground. Oh, and hope noone is sieging you. This patch favors big groups a lot while punishing smaller and more mobile groups, bc they nerfed/eliminated the most important mobility tool.

    Why don't you leave for the third campaign which doesn't have massive populations, then everything is back to what people wanted.

    This... first week Azura EU was wonderful, no lag at all, while pop locked.. but now a couple zerg balls have found their way there and it's all starting again.. 300-900 server pings because 20-or-so jackasses feel the need to ball up and spam AoEs.

    Nearly all other server don't have any population at all...Sometimes you can go on ebony blade or spellbreaker, but they are usually dead. If you find a group they just hide somewhere and start the snare/immobilize/sieging spam...

    Patch is great for those, who doesn't want to think about game mechanics...leaching AP with sieges is easy atm and you don't need to know anything. Just hide on a wall or in a big bunch of players and use siege....great one ZOS.

    The counter for it? Burn the wall or get a big group, so AoE-Caps will reduce the siege damage. Rushing in like before the patch isn't possible bc you cannot use rapid + heals/purge at the same time to reposition your group.

    Yes, most of the time it was dominated by AD. But some of us non-AD played there anyway; success was sweeter when we were doing well. It was more fun than the laggy zergfest TF is now. And Haderus is nearly as bad.
