Is playing cross faction considered cheating?

Ok, here is the story…

Last night, playing in Moon Cursed Blade (PS4 - NA), this player, was on our side (Alderi Dominion), then we noticed him T-bagging one of our AD teammate…

10 minutes later, we attack a EP castle and guess who we meet: the same player (this time in the skin of his EP character)…

Then it all came back to me: this would explain why we would be getting detected/killed randomly earlier sneaking around a keep.

After all EP players got killed (including him), guess who came back on the AD side? You guessed it! The said player!

I had to message him: “It’s player like you who ruins PVP in this game…”, He kindly replied: “Fagg0tz like complains about it”.

Obviously, this guy is not the first, the only nor the last person to cross faction like this, but my question is this:

Is playing cross faction in the same server to help one side (or to acquire emperorship) considered “cheating”?

You need to remove the name, this is considered naming and shaming and violates ZOS' terms and conditions.

Don't think Zos deem it as cheating but I don't see it as in the spirit of the game , that's why all my toons are and will always be in one faction

    From 2.3.5 patch notes
Removed the alliance restrictions for campaign reassignments; you may now have characters from any alliance assigned to the same campaign.
So ZOS supports this behavior. However I personally don't like such cheesy playstyles and won't play like that.

I wish they would of made it right when the game came out:

When you create your account, you choose your faction, then all your characters are bound to this faction, no matter what.
They could of gave the option to switch factions (every month or so... or even for crowns).

I personally, feel factions choice, should be account bound and not character bound. (But I guess most will disagree with me here)

Also as someone with a character in each faction, I would consider it cheating but I don't think there's anything that can really be done about it unfortunately. If people want to do things like this, they will find a way to get around any restrictions put in place.

Hmm I can see the argument here, but the problem is people aren't restricted to having just one account.

This is also the problem with the idea that people should be locked out of a campaign for a certain amount of time after being in there with a character on another faction (though I kind of like this idea anyway).

I agree this is a good idea. As long as being locked out also includes that you cannot join as part of a group.

Oh yeah, like I mean you can't get into the campaign at all. No ports, no groups, no nothing. This might effect dueling, but since you can have a home and a guest campaign that could be worked around. Or, you know, adding a dueling area would be sweet too ;).
