I honestly think its a way to keep you doing it until the next DLC, kinda like VMA. I havent even done a trial in this game. But Not a proper way to implement content and longevity of a game if you want players to have fun instead of doing crap cause they have to. I dont have the answers but white gear in raids or trials is unacceptable. I prefer the old school 1-2 piece of incredible gear per boss and then roll on it. Maybe just one piece per boss in this game since raids arent as big. Atleast a few people in the raid will get pieces they want but it sounds like you can do the whole entire raid and not one person in it gets a piece they want. But like i said i havent done it yet but sounds unacceptable to me.

Doing weekly trials on several characters will get you gear faster. Killed the first boss and first event 3 times each and received 4/6 pieces 1/6 usefull with good traits for my build. Can't expect to have the gear too fast, buy getting white trash is kinda a slap in the face with content that's as hard as VMOL is.

We found that in VMoL we get set pieces off of the bosses every four days. For us that seems to be the cool down period. On the off days all we get are white pieces.
Introduced in the thieves guild and not noted in the patch, was that the quality of loot gets reduced the more times you run a trial. With a reset timer of 24 hours; that is, just like a daily, you must wait 24 hours before you do it again to improve your loot.
If you do Maw again before that 24 hour timer is up, you'll just reset your timer and still receive *** loot.
I'm unsure about ML on Vet; I've only completed the first boss on Veteran Hard mode v16 with my guild so far.
Completed the v16 normal mode 10+ times and can confirm (everyone that I've run this with can confirm) that this is true for everyone.
