Every time I hear them speak,I want to give them a couple of coins,..but nope.

Hm, I am just wondering if you ever have given money to a beggar in a poor country - that is the worst you can possibly do, you will be swarmed by children and other beggars and they will take all what they can get from you, while you are just overwhelmed with their action around you - I will never give anything to a beggar but have my gun readied.

Doesn't believe in PvP but keeps a gun readied for a homeless person. The irony.

homeless person - hah - in those countries they are doing this as a business - that is professional thievery. Often done by children even. It was such a pressing issue in south africa and harming tourism, that there is now a special law to prevent that kind of thievery with very high penalties. I see this from a very different perspective - crime is very high in SA and you are better armed if you have any valuables.

Edit and you don't seem to get, that my role play perspective has nothing to do with how I am in real life. Eso is a game, not reality - in reality I have to protect my life and my possessions. With an 8-times higher chance to get r*ped in this country compared to the world-average (which is bad already), I have to carry a gun for my safety.

Since this is only a game, why talk about whether I gave money to the poor in poor countries?
Where do you live that you have to carry a gun for safety? Just curious. And why do you look down on the poor so heavily?
I live in one of the most violent and gun happy cities in the US and I only carry at night.Phoenix,AZ is where nearly 3/4ths or more of the populace has a gun.
    (Actually,I have two).

PHX, AZ is a pretty crime burden city/state. I carry everywhere here :)

Lysette lives in South Africa which is worse off than Phoenix.

I still don't give to the homeless directly though. I donate to United Way every paycheck.

She d oes live in a rough place.I didnt mean to sound rude or anything.I was just curious.
I dont carry unless its around say 5pm or so.I like to ride my bicycle at night,so I have a cross shoulder holster so I can grab the gun with my left hand while holding onto the handlebars with my right.
So far I have only had to use it once, and both guys backed away real fast when they saw the barrel pointing at them.I was shaking so badly I rode into Circle K and stopped for a bit.

Hm, you should know this, we talked about this in the "pizza thread", Volkodav - south africa. I do not look down on the poor, I look down on criminals - these people do professional thievery and robbery. Most people in this country are poor, if I would look down on them, I could not live here - I just look down on criminal scum.

There is an achievement for giving gold to the poor.I read it,but I dont know how to get it.

Back to topic, there are about 3 spots in each zone with npcs that spawn. 3 different achievements share those locations and spawn randomly. Lightbringer, Give to the poor and Crime Pays.
    Hope that helps :)

You didn't know about these random interaction spots? Get an addon called Destinations - it'll mark the areas on your map for you.

So you are saying if I want to get these achievements, I would have to look out for another 2 beggars in Glenumbra, I found one of those in Daggerfall, as I said, and he just laughed at me being such a fool to give him money. This bothered me, because at that time I was new and nearly broke myself, he requested 38 gold, and I gave him, even I did have just a few coins left for myself afterwards - to be laughed at then is hurtful - ok, the beggar was right, I was a fool - that is why this came to mind with my RL experiences with beggars - so you all know, how this came to mind - I did not want to give a moral lecture.

There are so many poor people in Abah's Landing, calling out for gold or a few pennies.I wish we could give them money, but we cant. Why would they make the NPCs cry for help,if we cant help them? Sad,really.

    I agree.

I have also tried to help those less fortunate.

Those unable to steal for them selves along with those who lack the Magika/training/muscles to go into other adventurer-ish types of work. You either get money or get dead... either way your no longer in need of money for food.

If we can steal from NPCs then yes, surely we should be able to throw a few pennies their way too.

There are random encounters in one of the Valenwood maps that let you give money to crazy beggars. Malabal Tor I think.
