Congratulations are in order. You can stack damage stats, crouch, and press 2 buttons. Most of the players actually mentioned know how to use at least one more ability.

Wait, you can use more than 1 ability in this game?

Who still uses abilities? Last I checked, siege did not require skill points.

Can't tell with the ping not being the same for everyone. There may be really good players out there but can't play as good as they should be because of their pings.

During the first half year or so I had both crappy internet and a crappy laptop to play on... I just couldn't participate in very populated campaigns and keep battles, but where I could play decently it wasn't that much of a drawback. Hm I've thought a bit longer on this list. I think my top picks (for PvP) include:

Xylena (already mentioned her, but damn is she fun to fight against and is wonderful overall)

Aetcha (I miss her a ton, and I learned so much from her)

Sypher (No one can deny his skill, Sypher's my buddy, so I'm biased I guess, but I'll always consider him one of the best)

Scrubgari (One of my favorite people to theory craft with and play with. Such a beast of a player, can't believe he wasn't mentioned right off the bat.)

Fairly (Sure, him and I die to some really stupid things sometimes, but as a partner in Cyrodiil I'd pick him over almost anyone. I think being one of the best players is not just about being a good 1vXer, but really knowing how to work as a team. Fairly has my vote for this reason.)

Ren (Her Cyrodiil strategy is something to really rely on. I've learned a lot about playing the map from her. From emp crowning, to emp defenses, to strategic keep takes, and onward, I'd go to her any time for these things.)

Vita Belial (I've been encountering him soloing since way, way back and always stood aside and watched. Such an extremely skilled player, and my sole inspiration for rolling a magicka NB. Definitely one of the best.)

Blaba (Definitely the absolute best magicka Templar ingame. He nagged at me for months to play my Templar and when I finally did I fell in love. Learned a lot from him as well.)

Essa (Stamplar monster. Enough said.)

Ezareth (He will always be missed, but he was such a skilled ESO player. He really did know how everything intricately worked. So fun to play with as well.)

God there's so many, but these are the people who have always stood out to me, who I've fought alongside, or fought against here and there. All are such skilled players who really do know this game well and are good at what they do. I'm sure I've missed some, and I'm sorry if I did. xD

Best leads I've played under:

Agrippa (Hijinx)
Anon (Havoc)
Bulb (VE)
Crystallized (IR)

Especially wanted to plug for Agrippa, he seems to be mostly forgotten these days. Dude knew how to lead, how to play a map. I fondly remember the old, "Get your red bull, call out of work tomorrow, they're not getting this scroll! A Game, people!"

Best Sorc: Homer vote goes for Teargrants, best all around sorc I've seen or played with in this game.

Best Templar: Rooty for sure. Nuff said.

Best DK: Tough one, there have been a lot of great DKs. Aegon, Kirin Blaze, Perichor, AoE BBQ, Hova.

Best Nightblade: Tougher. Modern day there's just too many playing exactly the same way. Old time I'd pick out ones like Krim, Tatsu, DeathKnightFromWoW.

So many great healers, Nymeria, Believers, LDK, Daysie, Akinos, Dig, Cyp ... loads more (some of them were nasty killers too).

A lot of those players need other players to be good. When I played actively, I ran with @xylena pretty much every night. There were more than a handful of battles where my mangled dead body watched her slay legions of enemy players, and then she'd pull off a rez. There are other players who have good individual skill in eso, but I don't think any compare to Xylena.

EDIT: not to mention, she's a decent human being. Players who even think that they're good normally turn into pricks and treat other people like they're crap.. even if they aren't that good. Also, this is about PvP. I never kept up with who was doing what in PvE.

I know a lot of people see 'best player' and think of the kdr, or general player skill, dem hot 1vX vids... but I have to agree with @xylena being the top player in my mind. Not only is she good mechanics-wise, but she was/is very helpful to new players to Cyrodiil, and it's that type of a player who stands out most to me. If you had questions or needed help with something, 99% of the time she was there to assist you. Sure she'd call people potatoes but I never once saw her berate someone, or be outwardly rude to anyone who was new and asking newbie-type questions.

Xylena helped me out on pts with gear and stuff, will never forget the kindness. I also enjoyed our duels a lot, very skilled stam dk I believe.

There are far too many styles to pick a best. Group PvP vs 1v1 vs Gank Squad vs PvE. Healers vs Tanks vs DPS (DPM insome cases lol).

I would say Baconator, Nika_Nar and company lead a fine PvP group.

Apoptosis and Wormfudge are also great players. The Xairborne Family is well coordinated aswell.

Thereas a few AD also but I think I'll leave names of my own alliance out.

With all the old players leaving I wish you all the best on holding things together. Lost alot of my guildies to paragon and smite and I am just tired of teaching PvP anymore. I imagine it won't be long before I leave aswell. Wish theyed turn proxy det back to its cast time. As it is now its mandatory for top DPS. And I just refuse to teach people the best character is a magic prox detter.

Before anyone argues about it please keep in mind DPS stands for damage per second and is figured out mathematically not based on just your tooltip.

In either event just thought I'd give a shout to the PS4 NA players I enjoy seeing.
