Steal 1M achiv

Anyone else think the steal 1m gold of items achiv is stupid when you have a fence limit of 140...

That means you can only make like 10-15k a day if you sell every green and blue you get which takes a fair while to collect 140x of those mixed colors. That means 66-100 straight days of farming things... and 140 blue and greens only takes ages for a daily thing to do...

Some might say only sell blues, well ok lets say you do at 140x per 250 thats 35k and that makes it take 28 almost 29 days. To get a 140x bomb of blues would take many hours EACH day...

come on guys this achiv should of been steal 100k... Or 300k, NOT 1m.... thats a time sink... repetitive as well.

You should only sell purple items for your daily limit. This way you will only need 5 days to complete the achievement. Completely reasonable.

I've got it. Just keep to green stuff and you have only a couple hours if you don't dawdle taken out of your day. It also nets you quite a bit of gold in the long run for something that doesn't take much effort, just time. It may take many weeks to do it, but it's something to work towards in the long term much like alliance war ranks and monster helmets.

Congrats I have done fishing in every zone for title and even the fishing not needed, Does not mean its a reasonable time.

Im working on doing all achievements outside of pvp related ones like emperor i know Ill never get. Fishing has to be the most boring thing in the world tho lol. In the game i mean not irl.

ikr I am around 90% atm (pve only). Was closer to 100% but the DLC came out. Some are time gated for no reason... and or prolonged for no reason...

I have this achievement (just for the color), and imo fishing is more boring and takes more time...
Speaking of effort, vMoL achieves will take A LOT more dedication than both stealing and fishing.

Tell it to people who are trying to beat vMoL now
And the limit on fencing cannot be removed, because it would generate too much gold. People will be able to grind with bots 24/7. Also the achievement is effortless, when I was farming for it, I would just steal all greens-blues-purples when I had time and visited fence every day.

The game will still be here next year,even if you aren't finished by then....relax,see the sights...then it might actually feel like an achievement once you finish it...

I have done it a few times and as far as I know and anyone else can link I am the first to get it. I can get it in under three weeks. If you want to go into my profile and dig through for my recent achievement thread you will see where arguing achievements gets you. They will not be changing these anytime soon.

By the way wait until you start scamp farming and look at the vet Maw of Lorkhaj achievements.

Already on the scamps, its so stupid some of them. Maw im fine with as a end game raid but the achievements that are pointless other then for achievement hunters that are prolonged they are offensive.

It takes a while, but it's totally doable. Just not something you can bang out in a single week.

Already on the scamps, its so stupid some of them. Maw im fine with as a end game raid but the achievements that are pointless other then for achievement hunters that are prolonged they are offensive.

But you see, they cant remove the limit on selling stolen items.
Otherwise people will exploit it.
This is not a difficult achievement to get, just loot some city in vr zone.

It's about the same time to get the fishing achievement, which I have. The whole idea is to make it a rare achievement.

Black Market Mogul was one of my favourites.

I love the fact that there are some achievements in this game that takes a ton of time to complete. We should cover the whole spectrum from easy and instant to hard and time consuming, in my opinion.

I will never get Emperor but I am glad it is in the game for those people who want to strive for it!
I love BLM and Master Angler because a lot of people will never consider it, but I like that particular challenge.

I think i slowpoke stole for 2 weeks, hit around 500k ...got lazy, if I ever start doing that again, it will take me a week or two, then 1 mil. achieved. It's only a matter of time really.

My fave location for pickpocketing is Elden Root though, I love stealing from people at the Inn, and if something goes wrong, I just jump down to the refuge. I once got stuck in the textures though -.-

I have the achievement; got it long before Thieves Guild came out.

How I did it:
I ran lockbox routes through three major cities. I would also pickpocket a few medium and hard targets along the route. I would fence 140 green and blue items each day, averaging ~20k.

I did this pretty much every day for two months straight. I missed a few days here and there, so 50 days in two months to get the achievement.

The dye is incredible, by the way.

Well the riding training is also unreasonable shouldn't it be changed so you can train more than twice a day? I say twice because technically you can its just noone in their right mind would stay up 20 hours to train again.

I stopped trying to go for this achievement a long time ago, simply because I'm playing with 8 characters and I cannot play them simultaneously in order to get enough gold with each one of them. Means, I would either have to play only one and get the achievement in a century, or I keep playing with 8 and never get it, so I don't care anymore since it's impossible.

I'm sorry but calling it a time sink entirely destroys your credibility, do you actually play an MMO for the entire thing not to be a time sink? This game is intended to take 1000's of hours of your life for entertainment and your going to try and rush through it? seems like you are playing the wrong kind of game.

Over half way there, and I hardly ever steal stuff, leave this the way it is, the dye you get is extremely unique and special, leave it that way.

I got that achievement back at 1.7 and it was from casual stealing and pickpocketing in between doing dungeons or PvP, dunno what you find difficult about it.
Don't sell junk, go for blue+ items only (pickpocket medium/hard NPC's only and lockboxes) and it will happen faster than you realise.

It's easier and faster to achieve now than it ever was before (8% more gold thanks to Haggling; Counterfeit Pardons, Clemency, Timely Escape, and Veil of Shadows make it much less likely you'll get caught and lose any stolen items you carry).

It used to take about 45 days of selling 140 stolen items of green or better quality to fences. Now it should only be around 42 days with Haggling 4/4.

As much as it is a time sink, with thieves guild it should be easier. Yes it takes time, but I'm sorry if you expected the achievement to be handed to you within a week and came back disappointed. Many have it, myself included.

You forgot the best part of the achievement; when you're done, you'll have 1m gold, or close to it.

I have seen people doing it on consoles a long time ago, so... yeah. Its not stupid, its an achievement. Like getting to vr16 or collecting all skyshards or tamriel hero.. Achievements take time.
