Kill moves?

Think they might ever add the ability to do special kill moves into the game, like we could in Skyrim? I would think it would be a cool thing to add in the Dark Brotherhood update, since they are all about killing people. I would think it would be fitting if they were allowed everywhere except Dungeons, Trials, and Cyrodiil/Imperial City and had a shot at activating if you were killing the last hostile in your general area.

It's a terrible idea in a MMO. When you do a kill move in Skyrim or on nearly every solo game, time is paused to prevent other enemies to attack your defenseless character. In a MMO, this kind of killmove is more a hard unbreakable CC for your character, especially in pvp (and with lags, it will be even worse).

There is some kind of killmove actually in the game, who only affect the dying char/enemy : when an enemy burn, be disintegrated, be frosted before tearing apart, or fall consumed by poison or blue flame, it's a killmove and a MMO-compatible one. These animation can be good to add, for example one for "soft" kill (bow and dagger attack), one for bleeding kill, one for hark killing blow (heavy weapon, siege…) and other.

I think they should add specific effects for kills with specific moves similar to the turn to ash stuff they have now. for example cleave causes decapitation and crit rush causes you to loose a limb or be cut in half low slash loose your legs ect.

And they would pause time in the game in a persistent world to have these finishing moves how exactly?

I am not saying pause the game, just have them happen in real time. This is why I said not have them in cyrodiil or in any dungeons and trials, just purely out in the open world. This way, they could occur when killing the last enemy in the local area that the player is fighting.

For PvP thiss i too prohibitive, but for OnE, at least against dungeon bosses (not their adds) it would be awesome

Why would time have to stop??????
How about final stroke makes a killmove?(Blade of darkness)
Or press E to finish the opponent when their life is low enough?(darksiders)

YES ADD SOME GORE ALREADY. It's not just kids playing games and watching movies anymore. Deadpool??!!

Just make it optional and we are all happy!!

We already have the mechanic in ESO. Sorta. For magical elemental-ish damage. Crit-kill any anemy with fire, watch them burn to ashes, do it with ice, watch them freeze and crumble, do it with poison, watch then go all green and choking to death. Et cetera.

And all those anims play "on the killed characters time", meaning no involvement of the killer-character... since as has been mentioned, that would make things iffy, either there had to be a period of invulvnerability while the killmove ani plays, or there would be some special vulvnerability for that period where other players or mobs could land a telling blow without the character busy in finisher-move animation able to react, block, dodge, bash, etc...

So, all that would be needed was to add "crit-kill death" animations for weapon attacks. Decapitations for sword attacks. Chest cleaved open for axe attacks. Crushed skulls for mace attacks. Slashed throarts for dagger attacks. And "right between the eyes" headshots for bow attacks. That sort of thing. No involvement of the attacker in some super-special animation, just the normal attack animes from that side, but an extra-special effect/death animation on the victims part. (Oh, perhaps even another one, one especially for sneak kill backstabs?)

Naturally those would get a bit more bloody then just desintegrating in blue lightning or the rest of those we have for magic damage... which is why they usually get mentioned in "make ESO more violent" topics like for example @Gidorick outlined in the Brutality Pack Concept...
