Can't "revive here" - game-breaking bug

well if they did acknowledge this bug on friday, I doubt it will be fixed for next incremental patch.

I also am experiencing this bug. Also only on a single character.

In trying to think about something different that occurred with this character I did spawn into a Cyrodil with no ground and fell through the floor (on 64-bit client) which spawned me at a wayshrine without a death screen.

Did anything similar happen to any of you?

Now that you mention it, I did port to Riften recently and spawned in an almost empty map, falling to the bottom only to respawn again at the top and resume falling. I tried to fix this with /stuck (couldn't port to anyone else because it wouldn't do it while falling) but that didn't help. In the end I quit the game and logged back in. That said, I can't say for sure that's when the bug manifested itself.

I didn't experince such a thing, so I don't think this is a problem we are looking for.

I have the same issue, I have the deluxe DLC's (might be something?) while my GF playing with the normal DLC kan just respawn on the spot as if nothing happened.

I'm ESO+, never bought anything from the crown store.

I'm having the same issue, it's because we alll choose the Revive once an hour skill without cost, this skill breaks the Revive button.


this NEEDS to be addressed as quickly as posible. It has heavily impacted my gameplay experience.

Nope, recpec didn't help, don't waste your money. See? Soul gem is ready and filled and I haven't passive skill Soul Summons. So this theory failed too.

Don't do it, I removed the skill with a respec and it made no difference.

My team mate in ic we were just running around collecting the purple teeth. They were all pve deaths could not res himself but we could Rez him.

Have all people suffering from this progressed far in the Thieves Guild quests? I've basically done everything in that zone except for Maw and one fish.

I have completed 3 tip board quests and the first and second quest., bot considered 'far' myself.

Strange thing is that my GF (got the DLC, hasn't started playing it) Imperial NB, AD does not have this problem.

Is this the fact that even in the normal zones, you can not revive with even your normal level soul gems? I have level 17 DK who is in Stormhaven with plenty of soul gems but it is only using my grand soul gems that I took for reviving in Cyrodil.

Hey, I am 16 VR and always use the same gems - grand ones.

So, the patch-notes are here and no fix in it. @ZOS_GinaBruno , @ZOS_JessicaFolsom , we still need you help!

So far we know:
It's character, not account or client, related
it started after first FPS hotfix
recpec, relog, log in from another PC, reinstall, even reinstall whole OS didn't help
settings check: default soul-gem - gold purchased

It appears:
with enough of filled relevant soul gems
with and without passive skill Soul Summons
in different levels, different locations

And again, it's really serious problem, because we can't go to the Maelstrom Arena, can't progress in Thieves Guild story line and even exploration became very annoing.
I waited for TG DLC so hard since QuakeCon 2014 where you guys show us Thieves Guild Armor concepts. And now this!

Thanks Jessica. Is there a word about releasing the patches as hotfixes for these issues (revive/audio/graphic/fps)? I hope we won't have to wait for another week.

Now that you've mention it: The first time I experienced this problem was in Hew's Bane, when a world boss killed me. At that time only my main character was affected.
BUT, now all my chars I play are affected...
So, I just tried with a char that hasn't done anything Thieves Guild related. He has not yet been to Hew's Bane or gained the related Skillline - and, oh wonder, he still can revive himself on the spot.

I'll now do some research, to figure out when the problem will start to occur - and I'm sure it will eventually.

1. After the hotfix on March 8th or whatever
2. My main toon with the most hours played, Gilliam.
3. VMA I think?
4. Anywhere and everywhere. Dungeons, PvP, open world, even fall damage.
5. No, never have never will.
6. Nope.
7. Happens in both, I use the 32 primarily but occasionally will use the 64 bit when raiding so I can actually play the game instead of watching a slide show (still happens anyways).

1. 8 March, after first FPS hotfix.
2. My main, Thavie Windmere, Sorc Breton, DC, EU.
3. Hew's Bane/Hew's Bane (same location, just logged in after hotfix and it started)
4. Everywhere.
5. No.

7. I has, 2, but now I've done full respec, no points in Soul Summons - disn't help, bug still with me.
8. In both (even on two very different PC, and my boyfriend tried to play from my PC, with no bug for his characters).

1. Can't pinpoint with 100% certainty, but sometime around last week's patch and hotfix.
2. It's only affecting my main character, a VR16 Altmer Sorc, DC faction, PC/EU, who's completed most of Hew's Bane content and achievements.
3. Can't really remember.
4. Revive doesn't work anywhere, be it in the open world, in delves, group dungeons or trials. In each case I get the three options in white, but only R for ressing at a wayshrine and T for toggling the death recap are working. I can still res and be ressed by other players.
5. Don't own any Crown soul gems.
6. Soul magic skill line is maxed out, all passives as well.
7. 64-bit client.

I know the cause (kind of) !!!
I tried a lot of things to get this bug, and now I've got it.
I was able the use the "revive here" function until I used the grouping tool and went to WGT.
When I died, I wasn't able to 'revive here' anymore.

Now it's up to you ZOS!
