Malacath motif vs Trinimac motif drop rate

Greetings,

Previously this was brought up in a guild meeting with ZoS and it was flagged as likely being a bug. Unfortunately, it's gone into live as-is.

As the daily delve and daily world boss boxes drop Trinimac and Malacath motifs respectively, there's a disparity with the number of chances you have to get each motif.

With the ability to share daily world boss quests, you can complete 56 world boss daily quests per an account per day.

Without the ability to share daily delve quests, you can complete a total of 8 daily delve quests per an account per day.

Is this intended? Is the drop rate of Trinimac motifs higher as a result?

Why do they have to be equal time to gain the motif? Has no one yet realized that all zos does is implement daily grinds to extend people's play time.

Because it was stated that this was a bug (not being able to share delve quests).

Also ZOS was originally against daily grinds (needlessly extending playtime), but the population requested heavily for daily repeatables. Thus the Undaunted Pledges were born.

And before you cite Veteran Ranks, Veteran Ranks originally were earned with Veteran Points, which was granted on exploration and quest completion. Grinding accrued no Veteran Points. Veteran Ranks were changed to require Experience Points as part of their transition out, to make them feel and behave more like regular levels.

But, this has nothing to do with the OP. Sorry for the tangent.

I've done two Delve quests and gotten one Trinimac page so far. No Boss quests yet so I can't comment on Malacanth.

Ive done 10 delve quests and 0 trinimac motifs. The drop rate on these is crap. Please buff them since we can only attempt one per day per character. Its way out of balance compared to malacath chances.

Yeah it's really weird. I had thought they might have done it on purpose to make one rare and cool, but I could see it being a bug as well.

I m just interested in trinimac chest and staff, its unfortunate it takes forever.

I can't help you with Malacath drops but I've done 16 dailies between my 8 characters in the last two days of console release and I've received 5 Trinimac pages.

Pretty happy so far. Hoping to get doubles soon so I can start trading before everyone else catches up haha.

I've been pretty slack with these but so far:
4 Daily Delves = 2 Trinimac
6 World Bosses = 1 Malacath

Much better than the Ancient Orc drop rate:

You must be new to MMOs (don't ever play Asian MMOs). They're not forcing you to do the dailies. You can bugger off and PvP or do Trials/Arenas/dungeons if you don't want to grind. But if you want to earn gold you have to make an effort.

I've done about 10 delves and, ugh, I don't even know...maybe 21 bosses total. No motifs at all yet. RnG gonna Rng friends! Also, was the ancient orc drop rate nerfed? I haven't picked up a page from that book in weeks.

8 X 6 = 48 not 56.

I've done 10 delves and 13 world bosses and only gotten 2 of each. The drop rates are ***.

RNG is the hardest boss in this game by far but for some reason he seems to go easy on my Stamblade more than my other characters.

On the onset of Trinimac motif becoming available, I'd say I did upwards of 40 Delves on my Stamblade and got about 9 of the Trinimac motifs with him, the other 5 were gotten either by my DK or I just ended up buying them from guild traders (Them shoulder prices though). This doesn't include duplicates, else I'd say he got about 14-16 as I did get repeats on legs, gloves, maces and daggers.

As for Malacath, I seem to get at least 1 a day between my Magblade, Stamblade and DK. Had the whole motif in a week of doing dailies.

I feel like Malacath is easier to get but Trinimac is pretty annoying. I've gone three consecutive days without getting motifs, now all i need is two fragments to get the full motif and that's without buying them from guild stores.

My Malacath rate has been fairly decent overall, perhaps ~1 in 5 on average(though last time I stored some containers on my lowbie I ended up with 1 motif in 35 containers...), for Trinimac my highscore is 28 delve dailies with no motif, average I'd say being ~1 in 10.

I'm not sure if being unable to share delve dailies is a bug, I wouldn't mind it so much had rng gods not hated me so.

I do have full Malacath and Trinimac by now though...I am stubborn

for me the drop rate of Trinimac is about 1 page in 10-12 delves. But my drop rate for Malacath is about 1 page in 4-5 world bosses. It is just hard to find a group to do world bosses. I usually just grab the quest and keep my toon at the world boss. Then log off and back in with other toons (at other world bosses) until there is someone doing that boss

have been doing both dailies in Wrothgar for a year and have not received a single one of the motifs ?
