If you're using the 64 bit client and are getting 8 fps and such, Go to the eso64.exe right click it and "Run with graphics processor" and choose your actual GPU(mine is Nvidia) and not intel. Not doing this, it will default to Intel HD graphics for some strange reason.
Worked for me. Hope it works for everyone else.

You sir, saved my life. Thanks a lot.

I play dozens of games, and have played many MMOs. Not one has had the problems I've experienced with ESO. People here defend ZOS, but they seem amateurish in comparison to almost all other major gaming studios. It's just not right.

Anyone who added an aftermarket GPU should double-check to make sure the game uses the correct GPU.
where exactly is this file eso64.exe ? I search my PC and it doesn't come up. I have the TG patch installed and it seems to play fine but am I using the 32 bit client or 64? How do i find this out?

It will be in your ESO folder...
Example: C:\Program Files\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso64.exe
Look in the client folder, Should show the 32 bit (Eso.exe or "eso") and the 64 bit version (eso64.exe or "eso64")

But if your monitor is plugged into the aftermarket gpu, wouldn't the on board Gpu not work then? Monitor has to be plugged into the onboard socket in order to use it right?

What OS are you running to give you this option? I don't see it on Windows 7
I'm running win 10. What is your GPU?
GTX 750 but I don't have multiple GPUs so it might be because of that.
If you have Nvidia, Go to the Nvidia Control Panel, Click the desktop tab up top then choose the option to display on applications.
