Unsummon familiar?

    Considering that every time I go through a door, load screen, change zones, and sometimes for no reason at all, my pets despawn or spawn behind walls *without* the skill recognising that they are gone (and I have /bug reported this multiple times) - this is horrible. So now every 5 minutes when my pets disappear but the skill bar still shows them as "summoned" I have to go in the menus to un-summon them before I can re-summon them? That's unbelieveable. I could handle the hold the key down to dismiss option when they vanished (I was on PTS for that one). But now, its terrible. I won't be able to play my pet using sorcerer like this, in the menu all the time to correct the fact that the game "lost" my pets but thinks they are still there. It was hard enough to play a per sorcerer, this makes it not worth the effort to even try.

    In order to unsummon your pets, you just need to remove the buff from your Active Effects window or swap your ability bar. Apologies for the confusion on this; we'll make sure the patch notes are updated to reflect this new change.

    So console players press start, select character tab & watch ourselves die in the background. Brilliant.

    While this is hardly a game breaker for me, I don't like it. It feels clunky and just plain odd to have to open your attributes window to unsummon your pet. A strange design choice. Not impressed.

    Just my 2 cents.

    So uh....what about if we're in the middle of combat and need to desummon a Familiar? We have to go through menus while fighting and risk getting killed? This seems awfully clunky, especially considering this whole change to Familiars was, I'm assuming, to make them more viable. Sure they can heal now, but they're too awkward to get rid of if need be.

    simply run through people, they do not collide, you can run through them. Just NPC are colliders.

    I know they don't collide, but try to click on anything infront of you when you're in 3rd person and a Twilight is right behind you. The wings just block everything.

    There are other issues with 3rd person similar to this as well, like quest followers which don't keep a certain distance. When trying to loot anything infront of you, you just talk to them instead, although they're behind you. (Not sure how often I "talked" to Quen today and stealth was removed because of it while trying to loot containers.) But that's a different topic.

    Ah ok, I am using 1st person and the E button, so to me it s not a problem to activate the banker even when my screen is full of other players in front of me, as long as I am in range and my view is pointing somewhat into the direction of the banker.

    Un-summoning is now very clumsy admin as most have said on here we like to have the pet on both bars because we use both bars it is a real pain in the butt to un-summon now would have been better to have a hold down button for it.

    Hehe, I thought so, that you're in 1st person then ;) I played in 1st for a long time myself (this and other games before), maybe I could zoom into 1st person again when I'm in a bank, if I don't forget it^^

    Why was the hold for 5 seconds to desummon removed? That seemed like a good way to desummon.

    What is worse is that I have to open up menus while in combat if I want to stop my pet from doing something stupid.

    I don't like the pet requirement of having them on all your bars to keep active either and would like that removed. No other class has more taxing abilities then a sorcerer especially when if you want to keep the pet active at all times and not resummon it when your weapon swap it takes up 30% of that ability builds potential since you need to place it on all 3 weapon slots each!
