It might be better to report the player in-game for it if you haven't already, as @Lysette said it's against ZOS' terms to name and shame on the forums.

Reporting a player for this will lead to nothing as it is considered guild politics and ZOS will not get involved.

Well it does teach a lesson... never EVER give permissions for anybody to take out gold expect for the very top tier(s) of you guild management. Until ZoS gioves us some proper ability to control the banks correctly then we're very limited with items and this will happen occasionally... never heard of gold go like this though...

Oh really? Never mind then, I have no idea what to suggest :/. In any case the name still needs to be removed from this thread.

So Zos wants to promote this game as a social game hence wanting people to say join a guild but won't get involved when something like this happens , so why even bother then

Well it is a game for adults, and adults should know, that you cannot trust people right away but have to get to know them better and listen carefully to all what they are saying to find out, if it is a person which you can trust or not. A bit of life experience is required here.

As you are here now, remove that name from the thread - it is against the code of conduct.

Edit: ok, well done - I removed the name as well from the quoted text, so you are fine now.

Is there a possibility this person's account was hacked? Because, in all reality, that is the only way you will get your items back.

If that's not the case, you just learned a valuable lesson about guild management the hard way.

There's no point in reporting.. I know it's mean.

But, all is fair in love and war. Someone clearly have him permissions to do so. Traitors are everywhere in war.

That stuff is gone - don't look back, look ahead - you will replace it, don't make your life miserable over this. Things like that happen and anytime they happen, you learn something for life. See it from the positive side.

The average person is a scumbag. Best bet if you run a guild is to only give permission to people you know on a personal level. Like you know or speak to them outside the game.

Yes, I agree that ZOS NEEDS to implement more guild options for control i.e. daily withdrawal limits for gold and items for different ranks. A lot of the guilds that I have been a part of want to be generous and let people takes some things from the bank, but that doesn't seem to be possible given that the risk of someone robbing you blind is more likely than not.

Sorry to hear that, but there is really nothing you can do beside reporting him and remember his name/ warn your other guilds about him etc. so that the communities you are in are informed about that person.

My guildbank is set up like this:
-Members that are trusted by me or my officers and advicers get access to use guildbank.
-Advicers are the only ones that can withdraw gold from the guildbank and place bids. This is because I don't trust my officers or other guildies with this responsibility. I trust that my guild will not steal, but I don't trust that they will place correct bids etc. I want to avoid trouble, goof ups and stuff like that.

In one of my guilds I have bank access though I probably shouldn't. It's so we can swap items we want. We haven't had a problem but it makes me a little nervous thinking about who all has access. I'm not an officer or anything, just a senior guild member. I think I will suggest a more restrictive policy, though then someone would have to manage the bank, send out items, etc.

Bottom line is that we do need much finer grained options for guild bank access.

The average person is a scumbag.

I have to disagree. Based on what i have seen most people are pretty decent. If not, this game would be much more cut throat. Even in this situation it's obvious, MOST guild members did not rip off the guild, just one.

And that's the other side of the coin: it only takes a few scum to mess up the game for many decent people.

I am aware of at least two instances where this has happened and ZOS did not wish to involve themselves - I also know of a player who scammed players for real money in relation to the guild system and was reported with evidence but nothing was done and they are still able to play and repeat their scamming.

Ultimately ZOS have no legal obligations here and choose not to have any moral ones - ymmv on that one.
