The problem with making things have a magicka and stamina morph is you take away build diversity. Every stam sorc will be rocking the same skills and so will every magi sorc.

    Boring!!!!!!

I agree that it could kill diversity, in that "you have no choice but to pick THIS morph if you're running magicka" sort-of way. But as it stands right now every Magicka Sorc build around suggests morphing Crystal shard into Crystal frag. So it's pretty much already there. Why would anyone want to take the long casting version that just has splash damage over the one that can be instant cast for less, becomes stronger when instant cast, and can be proced from just casting your ward before the fight? Might as well let the stam sorcs have the morph, if for no other reason than to just appease them, and show the devs haven't forgotten them.

I do use Thundering Presence on occasion, but respectfully disagree that open world skills are a substitute for class skills. If skills within our class are useful for more than one type of build, i.e. pet sorcs, blade sorcs, tank sorcs, then creating a synergy within the class can't be substituted by open world skills. For example, having a Summoning skill on your bar gives you the benefit of passives in that line that are otherwise lost. They can however, be made into different styles by using those world skills as needed or wanted, so we don't all end up the same.
    May all beings have happiness
May they be free from suffering
May they find the joy that has never known suffering
May they be free from attachment and hatred

@SirDopey Sry but I have to disagree about stamina sorcerer defences. They badly lack a panic ability - all other classes have a defensive ultimate that reduces damage taken (with DKs having the best), every class gets access to mjr resolve/ward, and many have class panic abilities, but stamina sorcerers other options quickly run out (due to the magicka scaling and repeated use scaling of sorcerer defences)... unless you consider a HoT to be a panic ability.

I can't see how their issues differ any from star nbs????

Well no defensive ultimate for a start, NBs have one that reduces incoming damage by 60%. Otherwise you are right, but NBs have a lot of stamina viable damage abilities or buffs granting berserk, fracture, etc. Sorcerers have 2 - surge which is a crit reliant heal + an easily accessible buff and bound armaments which is a stamina boost. So stamina sorcerers don't have the damage, damage utility of NBs, and yet don't have any better defences (and arguably worse).

Well, they're certainly in a better shape than stamina Templars. In fact, the only class that seems to have ok defences from a Stam point of view would be DKs....

ZoS... just give them sorcs their stam morph.

They'd rather use the storm calling tree and the destro staff for the AOE. Mage's Fury and destructive touch might be more appealing. Mage's fury has the execute thing. Destructive touch has the CC and it's insta-cast.
