Gold Farming

Does anyone mind sharing their gold farming strategy ? Crafting, Farming mobs, Farming AP anything is welcomed.

I'm currently Vet14, and I've reached 50 in all professions but enchanting.

I've heard that selling TRI-POTS is profitable but there's one of my problems, I can't seem to find a good Guild for trades [NA].

    What platform?

Stuff that sells: upgrade materials, flowers, potions, solvents, v16 potency runes, Hakeijo essense rune, Willpower jewelry with Arcane trait, Agility jewelry with Robust trait, recipes, motifs, perfect roe, xp potions.

The list is longer, I just dont remember everything atm.

Usually what I do is run Cyrodiil delves and gather up all the loot. Run circles, AOE all the things, vacuum up loot and sell it. The risk of other players is minimal (most don't do delves) but it's always a possible risk. I also tend to pick up lots of Kuta this way (the aspect nodes spawn quite often in Cyrodiil dungeons).

I also tend to run Imperial City a lot. Lots of loot, lots of gear, XP and Tel Var stones on top of it. And if I'm lucky, every so often I'll get a Hakeijo to sell. You just have to be prepared to die to PVPers and lose XP, but generally, I find I come out on top. Sell any ornate items, decon any VR15/16 items (when you get to that point.

I used to sell loot and drops, but since ZOS changed the mechanic and made near everything BOP it's made selling harder.

The Orsinium group delves are also good, especially as a duo. There are several circuits you can make where the mobs respawn once you get back around to the beginning. All V15/16 gear, and the ancient orc motifs sell very well on top of good exp for grinding CP.

Orsinium public dungeons and farm the bosses there, they drop Ancient Orc motif pages that sell for 30-50k each.
The random loot that drops can be deconstructed for v15 mats which is also a decent way to make some gold.

Tri-pots only sell for 12-15k per stack, so you would need to farm a lot of Columbine, Bugloss and Mountain Flowers to make serious gold with this.

I personally just do the Provisioning, Enchanting and Alchemy writs daily, especially the Enchanting writ is a good way to make gold because I literally get a Kuta every day (3 chars with maxed enchanting).

[Edit] IC sewers is also a good place to farm mats but I would recommand going with a small group (4-6) to make it quicker and reduce the risk of dying.

Ancient Orc motif drops are nerfed, from what I heard .... don't know if it's a viable way of earning money, compared to just going to IC sewers and farm there, or farming stuff in Craglorn.

PC/ EU potent nirncrux price is 20k, fortified nirncrux is 6k. Nirncrux only drops in Craglorn.

Imperial City sewers pro's and cons:
    pros:
-best xp to level from v14-v16.
-tel var stones can be used to buy v16: leather, cloth, potency runes, Charcoal of Remourse, water for alchemy.
-you can farm trophies, to open up treasure vaults and gain Endurance, Willpower and Agility jewelry sets + Xivkyn motif pages.
    cons:
-farming can be disrupted by pvp element.
-if you die by a player, you loose 80% of the tel var stones you carry.
-mobs are harder to kill and farm, than any other place in Tamriel.

Unrefined resources are always a good sell. Either that or refine them and sell the tempers. You can do this in zone easy enough as long as your on PC. One of the best ways to make gold in the game is to have at least 2 Guild Traders. This way you can list up to 60 items for sale leaving you with 3 for PVE/PVP guilds.

Thieving in Wrothgar is a good thing to do for gold. You can find better items there. Also,I have found that the mats that sell the most are Iron Ore,and Insect parts. The insect parts people use for fishing.

Many people swear by thieving, they have a nice path that they run, I believe switching instances or something like logging out resets the loot.

I also really like the Cropsford repeatable quests, it's at least 3k and I get a couple of CPs with it.

Alchemy is pretty much no longer profitable if you make tri pots. People sell theirs for unreasonable prices so there's literally no point in making them instead just sell the reagents you get e.g. Columbine, bugloss, mountain flower, etc.

Enchanting is a good way to make money especially if you're doing it for v15+ as many players buy enchants and you can get the tel var stones fairly easily.

Making high level gear is very good too but most people are only interested in 9 trait gear so that's what I do as well.

personally I have plenty of loot.... but the thing is I have no place to sell it! Neither of my trading guilds have been active and had a trader for more than 6 weeks now. I have tons of PvP gear, tempers, motifs, IC jewelry, etc.... But I need a decent trader to get any value out of them. I am happy to pay a weekly fee....as long as I have permission to sell.
Anyone have an invite to a good trader, please send! psn-DurzoBlint13 ps4/NA/DC

Ic sewers. Get tv stones, get silk leather trophies and trove scamp drops. Decon and sell. Buy v16 runes or xifkyn style stone and sell those with the tv stones you make. Bank every 1k stones because there will be gankers about. Using this method I make 100k per day when I want or need to. Also great for xp. I get quite a lot of stones from ganking and farming the best spot in the sewers. The best trophies to farm is monster teeth. They sell for 1k each and you get them from temple district twighlights

farming and selling in traders. Look for guilds with 450-500 players. farm motifs, alchemy materials, enchant stones, farm trophys in imperial city, farm raw materials(refine and sell) if you dont make your gears then sell ugrade materials(dreus wax, tempering alloy)
deconstruct gears under 70g and sell vendors rest of them. That way you can get these crafting materials to sell players and decent gold from vendors. In this way i have made several millions savings in my bank and shopping money in wallet about million and every day i get 20-150k more. Making gold is hard work.
I play in xbox so i cant say how economy works in pc or playstation.

But I've spent a collective 10+ hours in those public dungeons and have yet to get a motif page. Also, and I can't explain why, but the mobs in the public dungeons tend not to drop loot. I mostly just get straight out gold (although at a much higher rate than other dungeons).

For Thieving: Make going into a Refuge part of your loop. Entering a refuge counts as a transition, so everything will have reset when you come back out. Fence only Green and higher if you want to maximize your sales per day -- though this will take more time -- and put at least one point into Trafficker. That single point more than doubles your Fence and Launder allowed per day, from 50 to 110. Future points net you 120/130/140, so gauge for yourself whether the skill points are worth the investment, but get that single point if nothing else.

In Orsinium, don't bother with green VR15 recipes. They're so ubiquitous now that they are worthless. VR15 Blue and Purple recipes are still worthwhile, though.

If you find material gathering a relaxing past time, and you have high crafting skill, consider marketing your abilities as a crafter. Especially if you have spent the time on learning 9 traits. Just figure a fair price. Alternatively, they can supply the materials and you can charge a service fee. Personally, if it's not costing me materials from my own bank, I just invite them to supply whatever gratuity they feel they can afford and/or is appropriate. Most players are grateful for the time and help, and can be generous. It's not unfair to charge a fee for high-trait sets, especially 8- and 9-trait, considering the time it took to get there.

Also, make sure your customer understands that Gold equips are intended for endgame, not leveling... so unless they want to supply the tempers, I would go no higher than Purple for weapons and Blue for armor, unless you are absolutely swimming in the things.

If you find fishing relaxing, and you have Ambrosia learned, you could always sell those. One percent RNG on Perfect Roe tends to make the time spent vs gold earned rather poor, however, so I would put this more of a "I was going to go fishing for the achievements/dyes anyway" thing than a "I'm going to fish to earn money" thing.

If you're an active player and getting a lot of good, sale-able loot, definitely join a good trade guild. They tend to have activity and earnings quotas (for example, earning at least 10K within 7-10 days or some such), but even more relaxed trade guilds can be a good place to get steady income, especially if you're lucky with finding the rarer Motif chapters.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Lots of people are gonna have lots of ideas, and a wide range of experiences of what works and what doesn't. Just try a bit of everything and see what works for your play style, preferences, and amount of time you can invest in this. :) Good luck!

Those worms you throw away? Yeah, you should be able to sell them for like 15g each in one of your guilds. They are much less common than crawlers or insect parts so guilds are often out of them.

Just bad luck man! Do you kill everything you see in dungeons? some players just kill bosses and some just mobs because people saying that only bosses drop motifs and others say that normal adds drops them better.
I have farming a lot motifs and my opinion is that kill everything, that way you get better results.

One of the current best ways to make good in game.

    Farm tel car in IC.

    Buy vr16 crafting materials.

    Sell in guild stores.

It's a product of trying to force players into buying or subbing to play the largest part of what is a very lackluster DLC.

Incidentally IC is best grinding to level up, funny how non-DLC spots were nuke nerfed to oblivion but the grind spot behind the pay wall remains very intact. Am I bring to conspiracy theorist, nah.
