Okay, so this game has been live for getting close to two years now. Been here since the betas, and no plans to leave.

I've been levelling an alt lately, and it's given me the opportunity to see the game again through a fresh character's eyes.

It hit me the other day that one thing I really love in this game is the Dark Anchors. Whenever I hear one opening with its thundering siren, I can't help but run over to it and fight. It's like a wonderful and irresistible call to arms. The problem, of course, is that this is the only world event on all of the maps. World bosses, of course, in Wrothgar are quite the event too, but that is for a zone that came out much later after launch.

I would really, really like to see more world events in the game. Something that brings players together to beat a common enemy. A goal. A fun thing. For an MMO world, at times, Tamriel can feel awfully static.

With such things as a Planemeld and indeed for the *wrothgar story spoilers ahead*
Upcoming war between the Dardric Princes
this would be a great opportunity to introduce new world events, and make Tamriel feel more alive and much more of a persistent online world. Most of this game is solo, so it would be lovely to see more things to bring players together.

Just my two cents

I still feel Dolmens need some work, and the old world bosses.

They all got nerfed into the ground to support the "I never want to interact with anyone" crowed. I remember in the pre-release videos where they were using Dolmens as an example for something you would use the group tool for, because they were hard.

More random encounters (which are not fixed locations if possible) would be nice.

I definitely agree that Dolomens and old world bosses could use a bit of a rework, but for the future, more random encounters would definitely be nice.

I would love to see old zones more alive but... Z. would have to introduce the lvling system similar to gw2 and it would require additional work on the zones they cant cash in on. Since those two things wont happen i say forget about it.

I'd love to see some dynamic adventure zones, Dark Anchors what spawns randomly, monsters what moves around, unstable zone basically, maybe some Daedric God thing. Should work for marketting too, last thing the players need is the old same crap.

Craglorn was/is meant to be group-content zone, we didnt discuss about dynamic zones back in then.

Us PVE'ers would consider IC to have an abundance of public events but most of us just tend to avoid it thanks to gankers.

I'm still yet to finish the main story down there and I have 7 vet characters. *sobs profusely*

What about changing dolmens to give a lot more exp each time and a 2nd chest for certain strategies with a chance for a motif, yellow armor and weapons.

This certain strategy would be another boss of sorts.

And the Daedric spawns could be your world event with dungeon like bosses and similar drops mentioned above

I definitely don't mean like Craglorn. Look at dynamic events in other MMO's. Like in GW2 or FF XIV. That kinda thing.

I have a suggestion for this : Random invasion event

Somewhere on the map @ a certain countdown let's say a 2hour interval or something a random enemy alliance launches an "invasion" into the zone you are in.

For example AD try to invade Wayrest ? and then a large portion of the zone will need to participate to actually "defend / hold them off "

otherwise you cannot fight the "admiral / general" whatever.

They can make it interesting - let us fight Razum Dar or the Queen's brother as a "general" ( just a suggestion ) we can of course just fight a random strong leader with interesting abilities...

Or instead of this random alliance invasion throw in an extra slice to the pie - in Alik'ir for example a necromancer army with skeletons and zombies are attempting to kill the entire Red Guard race ( they see the dead as holy so will not fight ) so the players in the zone will have to save the people. ( doesn't have to be Sentinel ) can be Stros M'kai.

These are just examples... In Wrothgar there can be an ancient snow elf or Dwemer invasion that starts from like an earthquake or something and the enemies pop out from a crack in the earth

Or random creatures, if we ever do get sea monsters / swimming under water or ships then fighting a giant sea serpent or Dinosaur like creature... , Giant whispmother or a giant water Netche / Banshee in a graveyard ( This banshee is a giant banshee or whatever... ).

Love the suggestion and the ideas it just gave me I would love to hear added suggestions from you guys

If we had dragons I can definitely say what I would have said we could have...

This game definitely needs more events that require a small army of players. I hated GW2 but the one thing they got right was the giant world bosses that actually felt like an event. The thing is if you do this they have to drop great gear to make players want to do them.

With the Soul Shriven style materials dropping from dark anchor chests with the Thieves Guild DLC, I'm sure Dolmans will become a lot more active soon.

When vet levels "go away", the old Silver and Gold zones will likely also become "battle levelled" content (scaled to your level), so that you can do them in any order, at any time, after completing the main quest. This is already planned. This means that it should be fairly easy to add new cameo quest or world events into the Silver/Gold zones, in areas that don't impact the zones' original quests. (That's an important caveat - you don't want to make the original quests impossible for newbies to complete - and most of the zones are already jam-packed with quest content). It may be easier to do this (for some DLC) than to build new zones...

The main story quest in IC is fairly short: Go to IC; complete the quest in all six upper city sectors (total of 6); then venture into the sewers for the final quest. Optionally, you can then do daily repeatable quests in the upper city.

The most important requirements for completing the quests are a) having a group of at least four people (some quests have tough boss fights, and bigger numbers also help keep gankers away), and b) doing the IC upper city content as early in the day as possible, e.g. early Saturday morning (if you only have time to play on weekends). Being in a guild (or two) can be very helpful, both for finding people to join you, and for having a voice chat system.

Another suggestion is to try schedule your group of people to complete the IC Sewers quests during the week when the new Thieves Guild DLC comes out. Ok, not everyone will pay for the new DLC, but a LOT of people will be trying it out... and that will mean some relative peace and quiet in the Imperial City for at least a week :)

When I saw the suggestion I immediately thought of the zone invasions in RIFT. Those were fun. The map would suddenly get absolutely covered with portals and the whole zone had to work together to complete the event. Killing enemy outposts and wave leaders etc. was pretty exciting. Then at the end there was the big boss fight and loot for all. I mean, such a thing would fit perfectly into the Planemeld story arc wouldn't it?

This idea is feasible too. ZOS could probably increase the number of Dark Anchor spawn points per zone to at least 8 or more , then rework the Dark Anchor Generals into raid boss type creatures.

I think group instances should be randomized around the map with an indicator. Maybe larger instances like mini raid bosses should be stationary like dolmens. I like the Fate system in FFXIV and for rare monster boss spawns like Odin, It was pretty awesome although the lag would probably kill all players lol.

The easiest way would be just to buff dolmens few times. Voila, they're epic now!

Ok, maybe I'm just iritated that Molag Bal sends his generals and everything and single person can take them down. In the same time some fancy Reach-Tree-Dude wipes half of the group because they were standing in a wrong place.

Unfinished Dolmen quest in Wrothgar is a good example how all other dolmens should work. Epic, terrifying, much action, such invasion, very daedra.

If someone wants to do solo content go hunt mudcrabs or something...

We totally need a horde of dragons to appear out of the sky and attack towns and cities and then like we can shoot them out of the sky and they crash land and then we hit them with our sharp metal things and then we get their souls and we become dragonborns and we rule tamriel with our shouts and dragon bone armors and just make the game soooo much better. In all seriousness I love the post and agree 100%

They were fun at one time. But now, I find the anchors boring. Easy to solo even on low level Alts, low xp for saving the Damn planet, nothing happens to the area if you just walk away and the rewards suck.

I would like them to be harder, give more xp and have rewards at the end worth clearing the anchors and worth the loss of loot able bodies.

Anchors should be an event that you can't wait to do something that you get p*ssed at yourself for getting that drink and missing the fight. Make it worth the time and I don't mean just add a new kind of Cold Fire like item.
