ESO Event: Dolmen invaders

Hi all!

ESO's one big problem is the absence of events. It can be a solution if the events in the game somehow connects to the dolmens and invaders, binded to certain parts of the map. It works perfectly, say, in Rift, the events play minor part in the main storyline.

Rift invaders

The event:

In the dolmen zone, if every dolmen opens, the monsters, lead by a smaller boss, leave the dolmen's vicinity, and targets the nearby towns. The player's goal will be to hold back or kill the invaders.

-event starts in every hour, in a random dolmen zone, maybe in the the newer areas, too.
-8-10 waves of mob from the dolmen with leader, then a random, named boss
-the current mechanics of the dolmen remains, but one wave invades, one wave stays.
-smaller clouds can be open, placing random enemies, till the event ends.
-event ends when every named boss dies in the dolmen's vicinity
-sometimes even Molag Bal's avatar can appers, for larger reward
-the leaders of the mobs, and the named bosses scaled by the nearby players level, like, the players level affects the number of the mob which the boss summons.
-only the killable NPCs can die in the towns, and the guards.
-the event also scales with the area's level, too, in this case, all players can participate.
-In upscale areas, like Orsinium, the event can starts from the Unfinished Dolmen, and adds clouds to the area.

Things which already exist:
mobs, bosses,dolmens, clouds, so only the event mechanic itself is missing.

    It will never happen. Im sure there is a reason, i dont know what it is. This idea was very popular around launch and for a while after. They faded away never answered.

    Very good idea +1. Every hour is too common. This event would be a rare things like a diamond ring. Only in weeekends or just on "holiday events" with random start but max 4 / day and not only in one zone.

    Update:
    - Fight every enemy and boss on your way for token and other items
    - Lyranth, the token trader, with random spot, and unique items

    @Gidorick also had something like this I think. I also wish they would do stuff like "Maskars Oblivion Overhaul"does and add diverse encounters and invasions.

    Yes please events like this or even global events that affect all the maps would be very welcome it breaks the daily routine of boredom.

    I never understood why Dolmens didnt involve invasions of daedric forces to whole maps and epic world bosses spawning.
    P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

    This is a great idea! It would be very fun to have these invaders actually travel from the dolmens, and you actually get to fight them all the way back to the one they came from. Every hour seems a little too frequent for such an awesome event however.

    But they could still start adding/improving events with things already in the game (and add more later).

    For example, making Dark Anchors into events that all players could enjoy together:
    If you go to a DLC zone, you get leveled *up* to be a better match for what you find there. But for Alliance Zones, that doesn't make sense to do. Yet many Veteran (soon to be Champion) level players want to do things like dolmens for achievements or to help friends/guild mates. So add a max level for each dolmen, let's say that at a particular anchor it's level 12, and have anyone who enters a radius around the dolmen in which ranged attacks are possible but is over level 12 be scaled *down* to level 12. You keep your same gear, skills, etc, but your damage/healing done goes down and your damage taken goes up to match the mobs and level cap for that event. Higher level players can still help out and get chest rewards (for their true level) and kill generals, but they don't ruin the experience for lower level players.

    And turn the Dark Fissures from a minor encounter into a major event:
    The places where you hear a fog horn, a glowing tear in the sky appears, and minions of Molag Bal drop down. Make these events bigger, add more/larger waves, and a final random "boss" type that is tough. Give these events the dolmen treatment above for scaling. Something that 2-3 new/average players (at scale) would need to take 2.5-4 minutes to finish, something visible from a somewhat greater distance, and something with a cool xp/gold reward at the end. Make them interesting and sufficiently different from dolmens, with unique challenges and mechanics, but on par with the difficulty and time investment of dolmens.

    The Fissures could be more like the events in other games, and features NPC soldiers from the Alliance in which it drops trying to fight the invaders from Coldharbour. Maybe there is some objective, like saving those soldiers, or nearby civilians that get added, or what not. But even just having the object as "beat each big wave of mobs/fight a boss" would be better than what we have now.

    How about a week long event to tie in with the upcoming storyline of
    the war between the Daedric Princes
    (when it gets dropped, of course) of their minions and Daedra invading parts of the map, and needing to be stopped, followed by random invasions? Kind of like Dolmens.

    I see it being kind of like the Scourge invasion event that dropped before the Wrath of the Lich King release.

    Everyone over at Planetside 2 suggested random Events as well to liven up the constant back and forth tug of war, like meteor showers or a downed spaceship that needed to be secured/scavenged. Everyone loved it, developers didn't say anything.

    Yeah these zone events could liven up the vanilla zones quite a bit. We just need a sort of option to level ourselves down so that we can get loot/XP from the mobs and events with high level chars.
