Looking for some tips as to how the Magicka meta looks for a Magicka build Sorc. Tips suggestions anything are welcomed that is PvP related

Hey,

The current build for pvp is similar to this,
7 pieces light armour
Willpower rings and neck,
5 Kragenac's hope or Julianos
Rest Magnus/Torugs pact

I run a destro, resto staff combo but running dual wield(swords) and resto does more damage.

Destro Staff,
Crushing Shock,
Daedric curse,
Hardened Ward,
Crystal Fragments,
Streak,
U - Meteor/Dawnbreaker of Smiting

Resto staff,
Proximity detonation
Mages wrath,
Healing ward,
boundless storm,
Daedric mine field,
U - Power overload

I didn't try... however, while a Clannfear might be helpful, I don't think one could keep it alive with a stam Sorc (since the shield scales of magicka) and it'd be hard to constantly resummon it as well (cast time and high cost). That doesn't seem worth 2 slots for sure.

Lol what, Julianos all the Way for PvP. Kagrenac's for Healer, DPS Julianos is a must.

Against competent opponents who are build right the two crit bonuses are useless so you´re essentially comparing 75 spelldmg vs 1 health and 1 magreg bonus.

The tradeoff is simply not worth it in 95% of the cases because in pvp other things have value too in contrast to pve.

There's no reason to not run Impenetrable on your gear. On PC everyone has 501 champion points with 4K weapon damage stamina builds and no physical mitigation in the champion tree running Hundings Rage (crit build) or Twice Born Star. If you're not running Impenetrable you're easy AP. Now, your response will be that you're a Sorc and you don't need it. That's fine... The minute you're out of magicka or your shield is down and you're wrecking blow'd you're done. I have legendary V16 sets of both Kagrenac's and Julianos. I forgot the number since it has been awhile (I think it is about 6% crit from Julianos) but since you're probably running Atronach (like every magicka build in PVP) for the magicka regeneration you're missing out on the point that makes Julianos so good which is divine stacking + thief mundus for PVE. Trash and Bosses in dungeons don't wear full impenetrable gear so you don't have to worry about your set being negated by armor trait and champion points in resistant (reduce crit damage). Now Kagrenac's gives you magicka bonus like Julianos, you miss out on 75 spell damage, you gain a lot of magicka regeneration since you should have a lot of points in magicka regeneration CP which stacks and extra health which isn't the greatest but health is health. I'd rather have a lot more magicka regeneration (if I have magicka to cast shields I don't die) with extra health then 6% or so crit which will easily be negated by resistant champion points or Impenetrable gear.

I'm guessing everyone is different. In my point of view impenetrable is useless for a sorcerer, first of all Damage Shields have 100% critical resistance which means impenetrable will not have any effect unless your shields are down, my shields are up 99% of the time that's why I rather run infused and divines with the apprentice stone so I have tha max spell damage at all times instead of taking advantage of the trait when my shield is down and ok you said wrecking blow will kill me when my shield is down its very easy to counter just run into the person and it cancels the animation or simply streak through them and just run off. The way I have made my build is for maximum possible DPS which differs from your build I rather have that extra 75 spell damage and spell critical from Julianos set than more recovery as my sustainability is good already.

I actually went with the Infused + Impen route what sets I am using is a secret =P but as of right now my magicka regen is at 1200 with 36k magicka pool 21k HP 2400 Spell damage (unbuffed in cyrodiil).

Is that with any cost reduction? Your reg seems relatively low.

hmm well i get 1.5k regen 3.4k spell damage and 35k max magicka. Once i finish my build completely should be hitting about 3.6k spell damage so he has obviously done something wrong with his build so don't say hes been listening to me

Personally i´m comfortable at roughly 1800 magreg without any cost reduction enchantments or 1600 when using harness magica.

For a low CP build i would have considered seducer aswell. Still an absolutely vaible set option.
