Well first, are you looking to do PVE or PVP?
I mostly PVP so this advise is more from that area of experience. I've found personal use with boundless storm, the speed boost is nice, activating it seems to remove the Minor Fracture debuff, the physical resistance has kept me alive a few times, and it's useful with streak against NBs as it makes it impossible for them to cloak up if you're constantly on them.
You could run like, 10 CP into Blessed, and it can help with healing ward heals and crystal frag blood magic heals.
If all your points are in Thaumaturge, Tangled webs is my main move. It's got great magic damage, plus a snare, and if you're in a group it's got a fear + damage synergy.
Hope this helps. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, running purple v14-15 gear, 250 CP, and I do alright.

Yeah im pvp based been playing sense beta actually what tree is the webs under? Im maily a solo player and i play with storm a good bit is pretty nice to have im gonna be running 2 pieces of heavy with it soon to make boundless a bit better. I just need survival honestly. Damage is kinda bad atm to honestly.

Tangled webs is the morph of Trapping webs, level 2 undaunted, honestly doing a single dungeon to completion unlocks the webs so don't worry about having to grind dungeons. Tangled webs is a great proc for frag.
If NBs are your only real issue, I've found success with Defensive rune. (Morph of Rune Prison, Dark Magic tree) I've slotted Overload for the third bar and fill it with utility. Defensive rune you cast once, it lasts 60 seconds, and it'll CC them after their initial attack, preventing them from hitting you with 3 things at once. Recast it, and they'll hesitate to strike at you.

Another problem is that kagrenacs is extremely hard to get. Ontop of that its not really worth having as much honestly
So you don't have good regen, not magicka with your cp but especially not stamina, and you don't have a lot of cc or defensive buffs. No wonder you're dieing fast.
Firstly, have you tested running a staff instead of dualwield? If not, you should definitely do that before you upgrade those swords. Then, get some regen. Kagrenac's would be your standard choice instead of Julianos, you don't use Julianos without a clear idea what you're doing. It's so onesided, you need to know how to build your character then, what regen you will get etc. Anyway, 5 Kagrenac's, 3 or 5 Willow's Path, 1 Bloodspawn, all viable options. You are still running around in v15 gear, so use that to experiment before using up 10 times as many mats for v16.
Now if for glyphs you are running spell damage - simply swap as many as needed to magicka cost reduction, one after another until you're comfortable. That not only helps you more with Streak than regen, wich you will need when you're not very experienced yet. Regen will become a good choice with more cp in arcanist though. If you need more stamina, you can use stam regen glyphs instead ofc, though i'd start with the bonuses from 3/5 willow's and 1 bloodspawn.
Now for your skills. Basically, you're making yourself extremely vulnerable, since you don't have a single defensive buff and your control is mostly limited to mines and streak. Mistform is nice when you have a spot for it, but while you're not using it, vampirism is just making you squishier, so better get rid of it if that's ok with you. You can put Overload on your resto bar to store some buffs and mines there (my overload bar looks like [mines; prox det; hardened ward; surge; streak] for example - with hardened ward and streak being to make it useable while the others are only slotted on overload to get space).
Then I'd put at least hardened ward, if not also harness magicka on your first bar, that way you dont have to swap around bars so much when trying to go offensive and are faster to cast a shield when needed. However keep in mind this means giving up the stam regen on your resto bar if you dont get curse over there (what i would do as well). Going that way, it makes a lot of sense to have both inevitable detonation and curse on your resto bar to stack them, that way it doesnt mitigate the effectiveness of your bursts. If you need a defensive ultimate and drop vamp, try greater atronach, otherwise dawnbreaker or meteor for more burst.
Hope this helps a bit.

I use streak to stun and I've tested a lot I haven't messed with staff much except before ic I've been playing on ps4 sense beta so I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing I just don't like how it is now I don't have as much champ points as every one else so it's harder for me I use Tri Stat pots for Stam and stuff I'm going for a high burst build with shield survival but I don't know how to go about it yet honestly. I like the spell damage that juli gives and kags. Is only good because of the regin it gives. And I'm not worried about it cause I can make up for it with pots. Not bad I just don't see how I'm saposed to have my only way of staying alive be destroyed by 1 ability by other classes. I don't have any heavy armor on and I know I need to. That's my next adventure lol

You don't need heavy armor to survive as a Sorc in pvp. Just run 5 light, 1 medium and 1 heavy to satisfy the requirements for the passive Undaunted Mettle

With potions you may be able to break free every 8 seconds, but if enemies can break your Ward that fast, dodging some attacks seems like a good idea. Buffs like Lightning Form and Shuffle help tremendously with survivability, too. Also I find it very odd how you now insist on knowing your stuff. But whatever, doesn't concern me.

I doubt the gold swords will make enough of an impact. They will help your burst damage a bit, but in the end the difference is not going to be so huge because you can't only count on being able to burst someone as a means of survival - the difference the swords will make will not guarantee bursting enemies in seconds - at least people who know what they're doing.

i also prefer a flame staff over dw swords. you regain ultimate so much faster which i feel is important.
i like to use shattering prison to throw off my enemies burst and make them drain stam. I like prison because it cc's more than 1 at a time if im outnumbered. Also, it can really change the tide in a group battle.
especially on nbs, if you have meteor ready or can survive long enough to enable it, throw curse, then pop meteor then streak through the enemies so they cant block. it will absolutely change the battle in your favor. i dont have proxy det on my sorc yet but i could imagine if you timed it with a meteor burst it could be absolutely devastating and kill/put your enemies on the defensive immediately which means you survive longer in the end.

That's a great idea honestly I haven't gotten metor yet tho sadly I haven't went for the books xD but it is what it is honestly how do you run ward on both bars? My main Bar is magic det curse power surge mage fury and frags
Saint314Louis1985 wrote: »to help answer your question about ward..
my bars are:
bar 1 inferno staff -
force pulse
streak
frags
curse
hardened ward
ult - meteor
bar 2 resto staff -
mines
shattering prison (will put prox det here when i unlock)
power surge
healing ward
hardened ward
ult - over load (dont use it too much unless im extremely low on magicka or in a group fight)
i dont use fury but might start using it once i get prox det. dont really need it as much as when using DW. force pulse, streak and hardened ward are usually enough to proc frags pretty often. force pulse weave does more dmg in my opinion and better for sustain. when i unlock prox det i will probably remove mines, put curse on back bar with prox det and slot fury on my dps bar (at least to test it out).
