Dragon knight as a tank?

I have developed this character to level 31, and forgot it, for several reasons.
At first, in the real PvP combat, DK will not have time to read the wards, namely the protection in this class - the most serious advantage.
Attack from invisibility, a few killers tear this DK for 2 seconds.

Second. The protection level of heavy armor is not much higher , than middle armor. I have medium armor at level 30 - 6000. A heavy armor - 8000. The difference is not great.
Experienced player told me yesterday, that the best armor is average. While I believe, that he is right.

I'm not sure what you are saying at the top, however there is a big difference in medium armor and heavy. The difference is in the passives. The passives for heavy armor gives even more armor and increase in health. Medium armor gives weapon damage and stamina. Not really the same thing. An having all passives for both armors unlocked at only level 30 isn't possible I don't think.

Run 5 Footman, 5 Specter's Eye and 2 Blessing of the Potentates

Footman has great Tanking bonuses.

Specter's Eye has good Tank bonuses plus max magic and the five piece gives you a 20% miss chance for 3 when ever you cast a magic spell 6 second cool down so for half the fight you get a free miss chance without need to block as much.

Blessing of the Potentates Is just for the stamina recovery when not blocking.

I balanced my glyphs between magicka and health because I can buy those from npc vendors easy.

Get someone to craft some higher level glyphs for you. Blue or purple level glyphs will be much better. If you are on PC NA, I'll be happy to do it for you. (@Brookus)

I'll look into that or try to buy some from guild vendors. I appreciate the offer but I'm on Xbox sadly.

Leveling up an enchanter and Alchemist will pay off in the long and short run.

I have a dk tank that I wanted to do the same thing with it took me awhile of trying different things but I got it and it works well I do 5 sudecer 3 heavy armor pieces one shield and sword 5 footman pieces two rings one neck gloves and boots the head and shoulders I use engine guardian if you do this setup make sure you use 5 heavy armor pieces so you'll get all the heavy armor passives and run atro boon I've tanked everything on this build vwgt vicp AA HRC SO HARDMODES ect one thing I do different than most tanks is run regen food the new gold food that gives max health I'm at 28k health with this setup hopes this helps

Magtank DK here. Using 5 pieces Pariah, 5 pieces Seducers and Engine guardian set (5 heavy, 1 medium, 1 light). For harder content (vWGT, vICP, HMtrials) I swap Seducers for Whitestrake.
All attributes in magica and boon The Lord. Enchants on armor all health, except EG set - magica and weapons Hardening glyph, jewels enchanted with block reduction cost.
Usually I don't have any issues with resources, need occasional shard or two, but that is all.
Skills:

1st bar: Inner Rage, Volatile Armor, Igneous Shield, Absorb Magica, Coagulated Blood, Aggressive War Horn
2nd bar: Heroic Slash, Reverberating Bash, Choking Talons, Extended Chains, Eruption, Aggressive War Horn

1st bar is tanking, 2nd bar is support.

Using only plain vr15 magica potions (those that drop from thrash) and vr15 tri-stat food. CP distribution allows me to quickly go DK firemage. I'm not saying this is the best or most optimal setup, but it's working for me and allowed me to tank every dungeon and trial in game so far.
