Nord Racial Bugged

Rugged does not give 6% damage mitigation unless your armor and spell resist are 0. If they are maxed, you only get 3% damage reduction.

Nords are now officially the worst race, with the recent Argonian buffs.

    It is not bugged. The 6% damage mitigation is not additive with the rest of your mitigation, better to think of it as a .94 damage multiplier AFTER all other damage mitigation calculations are done.

    Thats how nord passive has been since they changed it to 6% mitigation.
    U only get full effect on 0mitigation.

    It is not bugged. The 6% damage mitigation is not additive with the rest of your mitigation, better to think of it as a .94 damage multiplier AFTER all other damage mitigation calculations are done.

    Yup that is how it works.

    I would however like to adress the opinion that it SHOULD be additive.

    Dont think they make it additive. At least not beyond their 50%Mitigation mark. Below that it should be additive up to the 50% mark.

    Breton cost passive work the same (but other breton passive are good, so it's not such a problem).

    The main problem with this effect is that this passive is strong when near 0 armor/resistance. So, in light, perhaps medium armor. And nord have only life and resistance bonus, so mostly tanking and heavy armor synergy…
    Nord is one of the three race I don't play (and I won't, not imperials or altmer), but I think they need a better synergy with their passives, or a boost. Armor and mitigation other than block/roll/absorb need a boost in general, same for life's utility.

    Why not? It's a racial bonus, it's supposed to be on top.
    There's no hard caps on magicka and stamina either to penalize the races that get bonuses to these
    Nord racials are generally really bad, making the damage reduction additive would help to alleviate that since Wrobel already said on the ESO Live that they only plan to make numerical changes to the race passives at this point.
    Make the damage reduction additive, even past the hard cap, and boost the health regen to double its current value and the health bonus to 10% to be in line with the Imperial passive, Nords supposedly being the most rugged race on Tamriel this would fit perfectly, wouldn't make them OP, and other races would still for the majority be better choises for min/max builds.

    1. Give argonians +max magicka instead of +max health and give them +9% to ALL healing. Not just healing taken, but also healing given
    2. Give orcs +max stamina instead of +max health and stamina regen instead of health regen
    3. Give nords +max stamina instead of +max health and stamina regen instead of health regen. Fix the rugged passive, so it is additive with armor/spell mitigation cap, which means nord tanks could achieve 56% mitigation

    BOOM. Races balanced. It really is that simple. Argonians become top contenters with bretons for magicka templar healers, orc become rivals to redguards for stamina melee dps, and nords are on par with imperials as stamina tanks. All three races get a major influx of players and we can finally finish the kill 100 argonians/nords/orc quests in PvP. Win/win for all!

    It's actually 1.95k. Bretons get 3.96k spell resist.

    Then why u cap ur resistance then? Try not to. It's a bonus to getting almost cap restiance. I rather lower my resistance and be at a fair minimum or below.
