Cost reduction from Magician CP is broken - requires immediate ZOS attention

Points into Magician randomly lose it's value. Sometimes it happens after death. Now i'm getting it the second i weapon swap.... This is game-breaking. Can we get a ZOS confirmation that they are looking into this/are aware?


It's not just tool-tip, my spell costs actually do randomly go up as if I have zero into magician, even tho I have 67 into it for 12%

Btw, have you tested the other cost reduction CP?

I spoke with a friend of mine that is stam build, and he said stam reduction works fine.



There are plenty of other players that are having issues with magician passive, so its not just me.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @Wrobel Can we get confirmation that this is being looked into? It's blatantly apparent when it happens and it happens often.

I have this with Bastion sometimes on the live server. Reported the bug shortly after Orsinium hit, as I noticed my shield wasn't as big as it should be. Only happened 3 times so far, and is fixed by porting someplace.

I noticed this too on PTS, my toppling charge was at 3k magicka with 5 heavy, which is way to high, even in heavy. It also happens when switching gear around also, don't even need to die for your magicka cost to break.

The times I was on the PTS, I was convinced something was off with how many spells I could cast before running out of magicka. Would appreciate an acknowledgement from ZoS that they are looking into this.

No need to bet , ofcourse it will make it to live, and it will take around the usual 6 months of time before its adressed, I say this based on fact...just look at ESO history of bugs.

Yeah, @olsborg is right on that. This game will fail and die quickly if they don't stop the whole 4-5 months waiting period for bug fixes and skill changes. Content must be made I know, but that's why they have separate development teams. Gets kinda ridiculous to wait 4-5 months to get disappointed that you have to wait another 4-5 months.

I once had an issue in vMA where my mighty CP didnt see to have any effect at all until i reset the points and put them back in. My uppercut hits jumped up by several K onky from resetting my CP. Not sure if those bugs are related, but its definetly a bit wierd

I think this bug might actually already be on live. Sometimes I notice my magic being zapped much quicker than it should. I have 51 cp in this particular one.

Yes. To be sure of what your costs -should- be, remove all CP from magician, confirm. Then re-apply your CP, confirm. Take note of your spell costs, then periodically check them to see if they increase at all.

Something definetly wrong with it. 7 light pieces, 100 reduction CP, Channeled Focus, 3 reduce cost jewels, and still I out of mana when spamming Honor with mana return.

I'll have to test this out myself. There are times on the live server, where I have been able to spam healing springs forever, then suddenly I'm out of magica. This during pve combat. Understanding, of course, that some bosses do sap magica as part of their mechanics.

I had heard they wanted to thank you again for your patience on this matter, they are aware of the issue and have a fix planned for Update 10 coming later this year.

LoL. Right next to the Crown Store release of a new Bear Mount. This time it will be blue and when sprinting Eifel 65's "Blue" will play in the background.
