The pet dies very fast (at least in the new trial) . When I tried healing it on a sorc I spent so much time recasting the pet that I decided to go back to my templar. The heal itself seems to be fine and it can target the pet if it is at low health.

Even with "Hardened Ward"? Asking all those question cause I wanna make a sorc/temp heal on live with the TG dlc in mind.

Templar feels like heal, and throw Luminous Shards, put rune on the ground and stand still in it.

For sorc I got the feeling, dps hard and heal with pet. Electricity everywhere

But yeh if pet dies alot its a drag and maybe not worth it.
The new trial has many mechanics that require movement and coordintaion if you don't want to die. But I have no idea how a can tell my pet to break LoS when the boss does a oneshot mechanic or that it should get out of that high damage aoe dot.

But for for Dungeons with easier mechanics an Overload-Pet-Sorc could be good.

I found out that y+lrft click is attack command and y+right click follow command. It can be keybinded.

So that can be a good thing for trails hehe.

Note: I did the command when I was behind the tree so if I did it when I was walking it should follow me straight

Or for some boss fights only put follow so it wont attack and only follow you

Keep in mind Twilight needs to be on all weapon bars or it desummons and probably dies faster then a templer. Not really reliable for healing compared to a templer.

But I agree I don't like this focus on pets rather then the class problems.

    Probably?o_O

It is a good thing that sorcerers can heal, should be the same for all classes. But was the nerf on BoL really necessary? Making all the classes good, responsive, fun to play and diverse is amazing. I applaud that change on matriarch, but Templars at the moment are not good, nor responsive or fun to play.

The nerf on BoL was necessary for pvp. But now templar are waiting for the upside in the dps path, and… they are waiting.

Actually, the way they nerfed BoL will have more effect in PvE then PvP. If anything, they should have changed the power of the first heal instead of the third heal if they wanted to change things in PvP. I think what PvPers wanted most though was line of sight changes.

Hey templars. Any sorc, ever, will trade you their POS twilight pet for BOL.

Wanna trade? I didn't think so. STFU. We will never, ever use this POS toggle, ever.

    EDIT:
I don't think I was clear enough. We will never ever use this POS skill k? You will not see any pets in PvP. You might see them in lol PvE. Pets are an absolute and utter joke, and a waste of an entire branch of our skill tree.

BoL is still far more reliable than any sorc spell, but as a main sorc I must admit that templar need our magicka dd, controls and mobility skills.

All classes are unique, but actually templar lack too many things (good controls, reliable dps ability in pvp, mobility -just debug toppling for it-).

Templar can't have mobility because of parity per Wrobel but Sorcs pets can definitely have Breath of Life parity aside. Does this parity concept only apply Templar?

Go try out a twilight and see how effective it is as a bol. 95% chance you will remain a templar.

It doesn't matter how effective it is. The pet was basically given BoL. That should violate the parity rule Wrobel kept citing.
