Anyone playing this with laptops, and with what specs?

I was just wondering, since i have one laptop, and travel sometimes. Processor is 1,9ghz, but other requirements i can meet with that laptop.

I'm looking for experiences from other laptop players? Preferably if there's some "normal" laptop users, not those pricey gaming ones.

    Played with a 8Gb, i5-2400 laptop with 1Gb of VRAM (4yo Lenovo T420s).

It was ok, but the graphic settings had to be turned way down low to be playable.

Oh so you play on a console? Well this is a console game after-all I suppose.

If you can play Skyrim comfortably on that laptop, you can play ESO.

I play on an older AMD laptop on low settings and get about 25 fps or so.
Put up your dxdiag. Don't need the whole thing, just up to the first few lines of display adapter.
    Edit:
Better yet, here's my laptop. Mine has 8 gb Ram.

This is my laptop: https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/K53SD/specifications/ (the i7 version)

Some of my settings are on high, others are on low or turned off. I'm playing eso on my xbox one atm but if i remember correct eso on my laptop is on average about 20/25fps. Even though that is low, i can play the game more then fine.
The only problems i have is on my mount when i try to speed up, the buildings etc load up slow or i get a random loading screen. This isn't great, but as everything else in the game runs smooth for me, im more then happy
PvP might not work for me, but i can't tell for sure as i haven't done that on my laptop anymore since beta and release.

    Good luck with your laptop

I've played ESO for just shy of two years on a 2012 HP dv7 Pavillion Notebook with 8GB RAM, an i7-2670QM processor (2.2GHz), and a 6700 series Radeon card (4 GB).

It used to run great on high graphics setting in beta and for a few months after the game launched, now I mostly run a modified medium graphics setting because I have no idea what performance issues will suddenly pop up on any give day (code/server stability has really been a problem for a long while).

I don't think you need a super-expensive laptop for ESO, it just depends on the settings you want to use. If I get a new latop there are some in the $1300 range with a 3GB nVidia 970 card, 8-16GB RAM, and a new i7 processor I have kept an eye on that would blow away my current system, but, you could get something a half or full step up from mine for under a thousand.

I did try ESO on a $250 Lenovo purchased last summer off the shelf, and it would run ESO on the lowest setting for everything, but it made ESO look like a 1998 game and had some serious fps issues from time to time. So, I am guessing a good price range would be $400-800 for a decent system to play ESO on (not counting any special deals or bargains you may find).

Yes. Well kinda but moved to Xbox one.

Started on an ASUS Gaming repub G72 laptop so not sure if that still makes it not fit but the older specs should qualify it.

Runs around 15-30 FPS if all high settings

I used my T420p when I was on Vacation to do my Writs every morning. 8GB of RAM with NVS4200 and I forget which i7 CPU. Whatever was the best they offered when they were being sold.

...I know, I know... even on Vacation?? It's even worse when "Vacation" was my Honeymoon (lol, seriously). I can bang those writs out really fast in the AM so it wasn't *THAT* bad. ;)

    *EDIT*

I set it to Low with a few things on Medium. Wasn't concerned with graphical fidelity, just function to get Writs done.

Right now I'm playing with an Intel 4k (yes the 4 year old laptop). The game runs at about 30 fps as long as I'm by myself, and that's with most settings at high cept shadows ofc, but the moment someone appears on the horizon casting spells my computing power drops.

That being said I just got my tax return and will be buying a real pc very soon ;)
