Maelstrom Defending Weapons

Am I the only one that literally ONLY gets defending weapons? My inferno, dagger, 2h axe, 2h sword, 2h maul, and 1h axe are all Defending. I just did two runs back to back and got defending weapons both times. What gives?? This is the craziest RNG ever!!

I've beaten vMSA 6 times this week and have gotten a defending weapon every single time.

I just finished another run and got a Defending Greatsword.

This is a joke.
