Maelstrom Defending Weapons

Am I the only one that literally ONLY gets defending weapons?
My inferno, dagger, 2h axe, 2h sword, 2h maul, and 1h axe are all Defending.
I just did two runs back to back and got defending weapons both times. What gives??
This is the craziest RNG ever!!

Really they need to fix this loot system...you get the same stuff from the last chest that you would get in the first chest. reinforced winterborn sash, well fitted hunt bracers, defending bow....because i want to snipe people with my defending bow? The rng is terrible you can do vma 5 times and get not one vma weapon...it takes and hour to do and you can't sell anything so most the time your wasting almost a stack of spell pots just to get that reinforced winterborn sash.
Also my main is a stamplar i can clear but it is not easy...I had a much easier time on my redguard magicka nb with level 1 resto...seriously balance this place.
The hate I have for this place is real once I get what I need I will never be back in this single player un balanced mmo content

✭✭✭✭✭Every master weapon I ever got from VDSA was defending. In VMA, I am batting a thousand on defending for all my stam weapons. My magic weapons have all been sharpened or precise. (Dear RNGesus, I dont need any more Resto Staves)
It's really frustrating. Traits on weapons make a big difference. A VMA weapon in Defending is pretty much Decon material...
Insert thread about the pitfalls of RNG or the fact that crafters cant do anything meaningful with gear --->Here0
