Clearly my internet works fine. I was able to play without any trouble yesterday, throughout most of the night even.
The client can't load game announcements. Attempts at logging in immediately show the error message.
There's no load time, it doesn't look like a slow connection, it looks like the game can't connect at all.
Considering the next date here for server downtime is tomorrow, shouldn't I just be able to play?

✭I also have the same issue...the news/announcements section on the login page are not working and I am unable to connect (error 201 at peak game times)....

Why?
...because I'm from South Africa.
It doesn't show the announcements and immediately shows the login error without even trying.
The launcher says ESO is online though... there goes my lore event attendance.

Still down for me. UK based on EU PC server.
I'm getting Error 201 (7:4:419:1060) when I try to log in, restarted all my equipment and it's only ESO that's having problems so I know it's not my end.
Hopefully it's a simple fix and nothing too serious!0 -
