Tracking Video card vs FPS performance (Thieves Guild)

I just thought I'd try to make a thread where folks can post What video card they are using and what FPS they are getting with this new update.

This might help if they have to update their minimum and recommended requirements, or to know if we have a problem that others are not having.

Me:
Hew's Bane (max settings 1080p)
EVGA Nvidia GTX 760 2GB
25 FPS - Good weather, Not many other players around
Any other area besides New DLC 45 to 60+ FPS
Rig = Intel 2500k, 8GB Ram, Using 64-bit PC client

Side note: If ZOS has an official thread for this please provide a link as Site search is not working for me right now.

I haven't tried with this weeks update (I'm waiting for the EU copy and the 64bit client), but I had horrible 10 to 20 fps in Hew's Bane, while it was mostly ok everywhere else. Changing from ultra to medium helped for a few minutes until it was back to 15~20 fps.

    2560*1080
    GTX 780ti
    16GB RAM
    Intel Core i7 3770

Whatever the issue is, it needs to be addressed prior to official release. Very tired of broken patches making it to live.

tested several spots from live to PTS. Using Nvidia 970. Made sure my graphics settings were identical from live to PTS character. Live I pretty much run 100fps outside of cyrodil large fights where it drops. Tried orsinium, empty world spots, couple public dungeons etc. Live is pretty much 100 fps, anywhere in PTS it runs from 25-40 fps max. Not the 64 bit windows client btw which crashed the couple times I tried it (I have windows 7 64 bit with 16GB ram)

Even in pts the gpu it's not efficiently used. with mine i should be able to stay on the 100 fps without problems, instead i have to oc it to reach 10 fps in pvp. In a live theu were saying that they had problems with the LOD refresh, but this is well after that problem.

I have had this issue as well, i made a post about how on the same zone same spot on top of the same rock while looking at the same direction i have 10 more FPS on live than in the PTS.

    I play at Max settings:
    Nvidia GTX 970
    16 GB RAM
    Intel Core i7
    Windows 10

I get 23 FPS while looking at Abah's Landing and while looking at any other direction i get 30+ ( on live i would get around 50), i don't know what changed on the performance on the game to have caused such a negative impact but it needs to be addressed before the DLC goes live or its going to be a a disaster of low FPS this will specially effect PvP.
    Some of my favorite screenshots
My opinions and posts are mostly on a PvE setting.

I hope that the 64 bit client, the passage to dx11 and then dx12 will leave a little more space to the hardware allowing to cope with brute force to the poor optimization that we have now.
Zos should release a guide to the optimal setup for this game. Experimenting with the driver setting i notice some rise in fps, but there are too many options to go by luck or testing.

It is not the Video Card that will hit you hard on FPS but the CPU. Both on W8.1 and W7
    FX4100, 8GB, GTX660, 2xHDDs, Ultra 1080p, Win 7 x64
In Abah's Landing and surrounding I get from 7 to 15fps!!!
In Deshaan I didn't got more 25fps (35-40 fps on live). In Mournhold rarely passed 20fps.
In Grathwood again FPS was way lower than on live.

Performance on PTS is way worse than live (known issue). I've monitorized both CPU (total and cores), memory, and GPU.
But first 64 bit client seems to be non existent. ESO used top 2600mb during roaming around. Couldn't get in a single group delve not to say trial. Way too few players online when I was logged. Why it dissapointed me? Random loading screens were still there. Low res textures also were still present... In Abah's Landing its even worse!!! It takes even longer time to pop in and they are even more than anywhere else. I still encountered untextured characters and world was always streaming.
GPU usage didn't got past 50% in fact the medium usage was around 35%!!!
CPU on the other hand didn't reached 100% either. Nor total nor a single core. They were just spiking around 70-80%. If 64 bit client bring any improvements on the CPU side we will see once the fps bug will be gone.
HDDs usage was again low so i didnt seen an issue where they couldn't ship data in time for the memory to process it further.

Other players said they didn't seen a single extra FPS when upgrading video cards. Judging by all these I'd say ESO need some good CPU not GPU. CPUs that have huge IPC accompanied by high frequency. Also the client may need some tweaks. Thing is one year ago this game didn't had most of the issues posted above.

On a gtx 970 I've noticed a loss of 20+ FPS in most zones compared to live, I usually play at 2880 x 1620 DSR and get a stable 60+ fps (bar in cyrodiil/cities) now it's dipping to 45 and lower and that's not around cities. I tried the stock 1080p and the frame rate is generally the same, gpu usage seems to lock up at about 40% and task manager shows one CPU thread is severely bottlenecked.

Hews bane is the worst offender though, 25 fps regardless of resolution out in the wild in such a small zone is not acceptable.

I also noticed lowering the view distance increases fps considerably however you have to lower it by a large amount to get anywhere near live fps.

    ESO is a strange creature.

I currently run an FX 8350 @ 4.5 Ghz and 2 R9 280X in Crossfire and i keep 60 FPS pretty much everywhere on live and only drop to about 29 FPS in large keep battles in Cyrodiil. I do however get the same Red Ping lag that everyone else gets in PVP and thats different from FPS issues.

I do know the new AMD Crimson Drivers did improve my GPU performance in ESO drastically, I hard been told AMD made some parallelization improvements in those drivers which it appears ESO benefits from.

I did notice in Hew's Bane the FPS dropped to about 35-37 on average which is much less then i have on live. it looks like they revamped the lighting and shadows systems in the game on the PTS and that may be the source of the issues.

This game is not very well threaded and regardless of what CPU you have it will suffer. AMD and Intel didn't make multi-core CPU's so devs would only use one core, but thats out of AMD and Intel's hands. Singe core performance is going the way of the wayside in favor of multi-core parallelization, HSA(Heterogeneous System Architecture), and GPGPU.

I can play graphically demanding games like Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Rhyse Son of Rome, etc with no issuse yet ESO that doesn't even look like a next-gen game suffers on Intel and AMD platforms alike.

As long asthe dreaded long loading screens from the Imperial City don't return i'll consider that progress lol!

Using either the 32 bits client or the 64 bits one, my framerate may drop around 40+ fps in "heavy" environments (e.g. battles in cyrodiil, Stormheaven or Daggerfall).
I think that the main problem comes form a bad CPU gestion. In fact, even with a quad core CPU, only one core seems to be fully used (around 100% load), while the three other ones are nearly idles. Then, my GPU load cannot exceed 40-50%.

    Rig specs :
    i7 4790K @4.2 GHz
    GTX 980 (Asus STRIX OC)
    16 GB memory
    Win7 x64

    2560*1440

On the PTS even my far above average CPU (3570K@4.6Ghz!!) limits me to <60fps practically everywhere. But on PTS the game is broken and far worse than on live. On live I have 100fps(+) in open empty areas, on the PTS I have 40 at the same place...

Until they fix that and the 64bit client it's impossible to say anything about performance.
