Fastest way to level up 1-50?

I would like to reroll a new character, what is the FASTEST way to level up from 1 to 50? Fastest is in caps lock because I don't want to hear stuff like "enjoy the game while levelling up buddy, the game is awesome!".
I already explored the game, I just want to power level as fast as I can.
From v1 to v16 it would be very fast and good in term of CP, duo with a carry in some delve/dungeon and it's done.

My fear is from 1-50, I didn't level up a character from the release, something is different for sure, before it was mob grinding but I heard it doesn't work very well now.
Do I have to quest or to grind? Can I be carried by a v16 also from lvl 1 to 50?

*I searched on google/forum/reddit but I didn't find any good answer for 1-50 levelling, please don't like a guide from april 2014.

    I leveled a character from 3 to V1 in literally 2 days.

Quest grind and always have XP potion going. Without the potion it takes me more time, maybe a week because I didn't play all day, every day.

Some swear by grinding mobs, but I swear at it. I mean it. To me it's more boring than quest grinding.

Why, the grind spots are still there.

However, you give up a bunch of skill points, figure about 30 or so by not doing the quests, at least some of them. Plus you can click through the quests and they don't take all that long to do.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    That is slow.

This depends on a few factors, like class, CPs, and Alliance?

When just starting, doing just the major quests, and solo main quests until you're the lvl of you factions first grind area. You will need the initial skill points to get the necessary skills to grind with. The initial character launch is the slowest part. There are general things too, like leveling provisioning to 50 immediately to get the passive to increase drinks so you xp pots are 50min vs. only 30 min. And going to cyrodiil at lvl 10 to get rapid maneuvers.

Care to elaborate and class, cp and alliance?

I can do lvl 1-16 in about 4 hrs. Then lvl 16-50 in about 4 hours. 8 hrs total.

Grind it, always faster. A v16 could carry you but wouldn't get xp and would waste their time. Just get another person at your level who wants to grind too.

Maybe it is slow to you, but I also did many extras (such as almost all quests in each area for achievements, plus all skyshards). We're also talking about 2 days of anywhere from 5-8 hours on each day (I think those were days off from work. I don't recall specifically).

For sheer speed, ya 8 hours is pretty hasty. You've got me on that one. However, I wouldn't say that 10-16 hours for a 3-V1 character "is slow".

Aren't the mobs scaling to my level in Wrothgar and IC? I have a person to level up with but we tought it would be faster to carry each other in IC/Wrothgar.

I restarted to play 4 days ago so I'm not sure about the scaling mechanic xD

Btw you seem kinda expert, a non-inherent question, what's a good CP/h ratio? We are doing like 4 per hour with the 50% boost, is it fine?

    Thanks for the answers^^

If we ran side by side @ 16 hrs, IMO that would be slow. Relativity I guess m8. If you're saying 10 hrs, that's only a variance of 2 hours and would be comparable, and could constitute additional breaks for food or whatever.

Did you even read the OP? He specifically stated not to tell him this garbage rhetoric. He's already quested on his first character. Or are you trolling?

If you do go the 'pure grind' route just remember... you will only be getting one skill point per level....

You'll miss the majority of them so won't have enough skill points to use on the skills & passives you need, so will end up going back to pick up those skyshards in delves, skillpoints on main quests etc...

Except when you go back, you'll have outlevelled the area so are getting zero XP on everything.

SO yeah... you can grind your levels out VERY quick... but actually that's not the whole equation. Factor in a bit of extra time to just whizz through the main quests in each zone, grab the shards & then grind the rest.

Not true, you can get all the skill points needed going forward through vet levels, for example silver quests. no need to "go back". That's if you don't need points for crafting. That's not the point of his questions however. He wants to know how to get through 1-50 the fastest. I should add even the "pure grind" includes initial main questing/skyshard hunting through the 2 starter zones. This is ~4 hours as I stated above:

@oRioNoTime nope, the mobs stay v16 and you will be battle scaled to v15 - the scaling will also be affected by the gear you wear according to your level, + quality of the gear too.

Fastest way is to have a v16 friend to group with, teleport to all the grind location wayshrines, + group dungeons, so you can access them later on and lvl up by exploration. When you're around lvl 6-7, Lvl up by grind to around 44, then go do the mainquest to finish it off and gain access to silver areas.

Lvl provisioning before anything, and get a stash of xp potions. While you gain levels, spend some skillpoints on the passive, to prolong the effect of those potions.
lvl3-lvl6 = exploration trait on all gear
lvl6+ = training trait on all gear
lvl10 = go to cyrodiil, to do the tutorial and get your 2 skillpoints + rapid maneuvre. Lowbie horsies are slooooow.

Grinding times rely on how busy the spot is. Wrothgar has gained a lot of popularity so they are often too busy. In these cases you'll want to have a few spots to rotate through. Everything that @failkiwib16_ESO said above is great advice too. If Wrothgar is not busy during your playtime go there with your v16 friend.

I've been at max cp for some time so I can't comment on exactly the current cp acquisition rate. I would say @250 cp though 4 cp/h is probably pretty good.

It's best to use xp as your gauge anyhow, because cp is based off xp too. How much xp will it take to your next cp? if your grind nets you close to 1mil xp/h, your doing pretty good for yourself.

    3. at level 45 you must be in cold harbour: go to Cliffs of Failure, take ambrosia and you'll be 50 in a couple of hours grinding zombies

least but not last, templar is the quickest class to get into 50, because with puncturing sweep you may fight very very large mobs, 50 or more, and the xp you'll get are enormous.

When I use the XP scrolls that give you 50% more experience, I can level up one level by finishing about 3 quests. I can get close by doing 2 quests sometimes.

If you're in a solid Guild, or have some friends who play regularly, and you all have access to Imperial City, that's a wonderful way to level. The mobs respawn fast and give such a nice chunk of EXP. Toss an EXP Scroll or Psijic Pot on top of that and you can fly through the levels. It's also one of the best places to grind CP on Enlightened Vets once you hit VR1.
