I still remember buying it. I'd no idea what it was. Just thought it looked interesting.
Back in the days when you'd walk into a game store without knowing what was out. and just randomly look at the games in the store to find a cool looking one. The PC section was my favourite. It was so mysterious, always with awesome, unusual looking games ;p
I used to buy games from simply looking at the back of the case. If it looked cool enough at the back, I was sold lol. I do miss those days, tbh.

You didn't had issues getting it to run?
Daggerfall, but I didn't really get into it. It came out just as I was really getting into competitive Quake deathmatch & CTF. I played it a bit but Quake dominated my game playing time. Likewise when Morrowind came out.. I was still too entrenched in Quake clans & competitions to play it much.
Oblivion was the first Elder Scrolls game that hooked me in. I played it in 1280x720 on a 3 meter projection screen in a very dark room... so immersive, it was awesome. I totally loved the sneaking & stealthed attacks... a nightblade was born
Skyrim was huge also... pumped many hours of game time into that & it was very satisfying.
