PTS LAG - PVP

You can't even really test anything with all this lag............ Is it just me?

Please do not release this code into live if it's this bad on PTS. I don't think I have ever seen PTS this laggy.

Interesting. I actually experience little to none. Though I did get an odd FPS drop for 10 seconds in the 4 -6 hours I spent in the dueling area.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it was any better than live. At all.

On live I run a steady 80-83 ping in pve, and 100-150 just zoning into Cyrodiil.

On the pts I was at 76-83 in pve and 113-150 in the dueling area.

Now my Cyrodiil ping fluctuates wildly in pvp when populations rise. However it's pretty comparable with the amount of players that were present on the pts.

But I suppose we will have to see when it hits live.

I hate being a sore loser about it, but the lag was killing me in pts duels. I don't know if it's a regional thing or what, but my skills were taking forever, even considering the new cooldowns. Strange thing was that my ping registered at just 120, but my fps was really low, even on min settings. Something I never even consider doing, btw.

I'm talking dodge rolls not dodging anything, frags taking the equivalent time of tying your shoelaces, shields going up and health still getting hit. Nasty stuff.

I think I know the main cause its the mailing system, with the pvp rewards given So much of it that it lags the server, in any area, you are in making load times longer then usual.
It seemed to happen because of the mailing system filled with all that pvp rewards that seemed to cause fps drops.
I think there is more then 100 mails of items in overflow mail box.
You get all that mail after making a vet ranked charater. Because of maxed out leveled pvp abilties.

That's a possibility.

I basically know its one of the causes, its obvious.

As EU player I have mostly 230 ping on PTS server, which is *** comparing to your NA ping (less than 100)

Dueling on PTS is really funny, I just wish template chars have yellow weapons and 501 CP. I miss around 500 spell dmg (buffed) which makes huge diffrence in duels, still I won vs many live geared chars, naturally sometimes is impossible with such bad ping and gear/CP disatvantage, especially if som1 is equal skilled to you, but overall good moments.
