Magicka templar is actually pretty good now, with dots. I would go magicka sorc or magicka nb tho.

Dunmer Magicka DK. They're fun to play and with the buffs they'll be very good indeed.
    High Elf Magika DK /endthread

I prefer Dunmer than this as unless you're running a major PvP build you'll have quite low magicka regen, so that passive isn't very helpful.

According to me, Magicka sorcs will be on top of the food chain - PvP wise.

they are on top right now...and will deffinatelly be on top in TG..

also i think Magicka DK with that Burning Embers 15k on demnd low cost heal will be op...srsly it seems way too much..i think it should be lower for live

The thing both Templars and DKs lack are escapes. They both have things that appear great with some buffs but without mobility and escape options, those probably only work on paper situationally.

I was looking into making a Breton Magicka NB, because of the patch. But using a staff really isn't my thing.

Mag sorc looks like they will be in a strong position in general.

Mag NBs look stronger than stam NBs by far.

DKs look like they will be better off than they are currently on live but still not quite as good as they could be, but we'll see.

Templars, like always, seem like they are going to be trash-tier for anything else apart from healing. Stam Templars have it the worst.

tbh i can see this go rock paper scissors.

stamblade > mag templar > mag dk > mag sorc > stamblade
i have no idea yet how the other class/archtype combinations will work out but except mag NBs and MAYBE MAYBE stam dks, I think the 4 ar4chtypes above will be the most prominent contenders. Stamplars are gonna love major mending but just don't see them dominate just because of that. but maybe jabs-spear-ajbs will now become a thing since the first KB doesn't ruin any combo that wants to CC somewhere later than in the beginning

main reasons for my opinion w.r.t. each ">" to above:

    1) dots are nice but even with them no real means to chase through cloak, vbane/dark flare gets dodged, healing debuff through soul harvest, nb could even runs a s+b build to reflect dot projectiles
    2) purifying ritual removing dots and (not even sure if this still works vs meele spells such as whip) eclipse reflecting single target spells
    3) wings are still a pain, with the new self heal, sorcs will have an incredibly hard time to bring mag dk's down. dots can actually wear down the sorcs shield fairly quickly, fossilze can DESTROY the sorcs stam pool
    4) i don't see combos piercing sorc's sheild now. I expect far more hardy than the shield-pierce CPs to be allocated. aleady not the worst matchup for sorcs (imhpo quite a good one) - magelight on one bar to finish the job.

ofc there are many builds and many ways a fight could go: a stamblade can reflect to annoy sorcs, templars can outspam stambaldes sweeps vs surprise attack, so this is merely my personla opinion what's gonna be the dominat factors.

in the end someone will should a coldharbor stone treb, deal 18k damage to everyone which kills 1-2 and then everybody blows up because the sieger is wearing the new pvp set ;)

This. And sorcerers aren't fun, go for a stam dk (remember to go 2 handed) or a mag nightblade (but don't equip a damn destro staff, they're miserable)

There are great performing classes but unfortunately not all of their players ...
I don't even know your play style and what you like, why would I recommend a class or role that you might not able to handle?

no templar doesn't fit that row and the buff to meteor not able to be reflected will make a magicka sorc beat a DK

I feel like magicka DK benefits the most from this patch. I feel like sorcs can probably still out-DPS them, though, and NBs are probably still better for PVP, but magicka DKs get my vote for "most improved".

this i can agree the most agree with. maybe NB will suffer a bit and addapt or people will learn to use the counters so good that it will be rendered useless. I for one can't be certain about this, this is a wait and see for me.
