[Video] Kudos to the DC defenders of Aleswell 2-4-2016. NA PC AS

First of all mad props to the folks who held Aleswell for hours on hours, wiped this one's pack repeatedly, and held off the pacters while reaping a toll of curses, client crashes, and AP. While obviously Telel preferred the fights where they wiped larger groups and fed upon their flabby soft corpses this entire Aleswell siege, and the fights to retake ash the occured halfway through it, had the entire pack energized.

Your emperor will hopefully reward you all well for keeping them on top for as long as you did.

Now if anyone is curious how those last few moments looked from this one's side....

If you'd care to see every moment of this then the original broadcast is archived on Khajiit's twitch channel for a few weeks. Be warned though this is part of a four hour run, and the siege itself was nearly 3 hours in length.

The lag was bad, but bearable.

Yes. This one made sure they clipped this so that everyone could see how many holes both us dumbminionites and pacters had to put in it just to dig those bloopers out of their keep.

Also the arguments about if we were repairing it or not will likely get some LOLs. ^_^

Also, this vid only really showcases the last ditch, at what the 4 minute mark the emp group finally got split up and worked down, that back and forth on the flags (desperation swapping) had gone for.... 45 straight minutes? An hour? Sooooo many EP on the back postern. All in all there were probably 200 people in this keep. At least the lag wasnt too bad, for once.

And the music is a change from the usual Telel fare, much more to my tastes.

That's because it was almost exclusively the emp team there. We had a full group + maybe 5-6 in waiting running the seige. This wasn't a faction stack. The other DC were bravely trying to take Ash over and over again to help us.

We went each postern and wiped the EP again, but the AD had taken the front flag and as you can see were pushing the back flag. I knew I needed to go front door to back flag again, but I didn't think we had time to make it.

Our DC haters got all salty after the fight trying to talk smack.....hehe I guess they weren't there.

@Rylana Thank you. This one figured anyone smart enough to hide in that spot was either a healer, a ninja rezzer, or about to go gank our siege and so felt they deserved some attention.

@CN_Daniel the link to Telel's twitch stream is in their signature. Look for the four hour broadcast from yesterday. Just be warned that no one in Khajiit's pack has kind words for proxblobs. ^_^

@Minnesinger uhmm yes, sometimes Telel must be without the comforting knowledge that there are elves to dodge behind when things become explosion filled. Fortunately this one is most skilled in fleeing dangerous slopes. Slightly less so in surviving the jumps off of some stairs. -.-

Fortunately the competent people that this one leads help compensate for Telel's less than lackluster combat ability's. In exchange they get to have this one tell them where we're going so that we can murder people.

@Yolokin_Swagonborn this one has been needing an excuse to use that song for some time. This was perhaps the best chance they were ever going to get. ^_^

This one is a stamplar and not very good at it (no I am not parodying you here, my khajiit was an experimental build from back when stamplar was really fotm and good), so I was actually just vigoring, tornadopotatoing, and rezzing folks.

I just found it funny when you guys pushed in the first place you went was to that corner. I felt betrayed by my own positioning Spent the whole next 2 minutes facedown on that flag til Ren rezzed me and i died again 2 seconds after that on the OTHER FLAG.

Wasnt my day, but my caltrops kept on ticking giving me AP so not all was lost.

We were at bleaks for about 20 minutes, couldn't get close enough to siege because of the EP horde and infinite respawns. It was a little more than running laps, we were doing open field, baiting choke points etc. I believe we went around bleaks a total of 3 times throughout that 20 minute window.

I'm sorry to hear people were annoyed that they actually had to PVP, my condolences.

Yeah, we went to had because I kept crashing in the lag from the dethrone attempts and I was the only raid lead on - literally every time I pushed us into a group I'd crash (props to our guys for winning those fights even with that happening though). We had about 14 and were at bleaks for a very, very long time. Red got a good wipe on us in the beginning, and then it was gravy (though maybe not for them xD). Props to vex for being our sole barrier and main heal towards the end while fighting that many red. Kholes was still down at the bridge; we started there but then I felt bad since it was their home campaign so I tried to move us off somewhere else.

Ehh weve got a lot of new blood, new leads, and the like. The group is very green and most have been playing together for 2 weeks or less, so absent an old-schooler to lead them vs the like of that, tempers may flare. They did what they could, but once I showed up and rallied it up so theyd actually GO TO YOU and take you on, it was probably just a farm for you and boring as hell.

Working on getting DR in shape, stand by, we have a lot of work to do. Its what happens when guilds fall apart man =/ But there is a lot of potential in this crop, I can already see a pretty solid 12-15 man core starting to form, and it will be competitive with polish, looking towards after TG drops though before we are ready for guilds like Khole, VE, Rage, etc. Right now we just arent ready/up to snuff.


On a sidenote - its pretty amazing the people you find in the pug groups and unguilded or known otherwise that are actually pretty goddamned good and competent when given a chance. We picked up some stellar top tier level players that probably got overlooked for their AR not being Palatine+ by some of the "other guilds"

Once they get their group synergies and roles, and some movement practice in, I think this squad has the honest potential to be a B+ or even A list team.

We shall see how it all plays out. Down but not out.

@Rylana Good to hear! DR is already pretty solid and will only get better. We made one mistake and they near wiped us on our own choke. They did keep a lot of pressure on us and if they were more conditioned as a group we would've wiped no doubt. Nothing but respect for anyone that can stick this game out in it's current state.

PS Every time I hear DR I still think of Chip Paterson and the Divine Reapers from back at launch

I give Dutchess crap for the guild name because there is a blue Requiem guild and I worry people will think we are them rolled red.

Ive never heard of Divine reapers though, must be a guild from another campaign I wasnt on back then. No copyright infringement intended I assure you, I just have been using the name more cause people still keep mistaking us for that other guild. XD

And yeah, good players, just need spit and polish, and time. Gotta get the reaction/movement squared and I think we could get some really solid 12v12s or 20v20s out of them. We dont have strong enough players "yet" for smaller, gonna be a bit zergy for a while as things fall into place. Ideally though, I am looking to assemble a pair of solid independent 12 man teams that might not even be on the same server at the same time (unless like emp defense or something). Im using the rule of 12 to set it up, but until we "get good" gonna be running deep til we take the training wheels off.

Vijori and I got in the habit of ALWAYS watching the rear for any signs that Telel was around. Failure to do so was often a death sentence. Rather ironic that two of the best gankers of the time, Telel and Tyago, played on the same campaign.
